How can your family be ashamed of you for being modest? My daughters have done self-piercings, dyed their hair pink, shaved their heads, and gotten weird tattoos. And *I'M* not ashamed of *THEM!* They are wonderful, beautiful young women merely expressing themselves (as are you!), and I respect that. At the age of 18 you shouldnt be forced by your partents or any family member to do something that you dont want to do. So, to keep them from thinking of us like objects and make sure they see us as actual humans, we cover up. Personally I don't care if you jump in a lake butt naked or with a winter coat. But don't call it modesty. It is not.

Surely they would have allowed you to stay with a friend instead of going, given your level of devotion. oh and @evilofdarkness89 legal custodians, and guardians can force you to do things you don't want. @djmonique20 When I say dress like a Christian I just mean modest...basically just keep your clothes on and keep your body covered in public (I don't think bikinis on beaches are good but wearing doesn't make you not a Christians or a bad Christian). I'm not saying you HAVE to cover your head to be a real christian. If you believe in Jesus as your lord and saviour then you ARE a real Christian and don't let anyone ever tell you otherwise.

Part 2...because of the beach and people walking round with hardly anything on. People just dont understand why we dress the way we do. At the age of 18 you shouldnt be forced by your partents or any family member to do something that you dont want to do. Some of the advantaged of covering up and wearing a scarf is that you dont get sun burnt and you wont get heat strock. Ive save a load of money of sun cream because Im covered up.

I admire you for wearing the scarf and wanting to be modest at your age. When I was 17\18 I wasnt very modest and went thought a rebelious stage with my parents over what I wanted to wear. Near 3 years after that I became muslim and then started to wear the scarf and cover up all the time Im out of the home. So, to keep them from thinking of us like objects and make sure they see us as actual humans, we cover up. I'm very sympathetic to your family not being accepting of your beliefs. But my problem with this video is you saying that wearing a bikini is immature and silly. There are millions of women all over the world who wear bikinis and are completely comfortable doing so. If you choose not to subscribe to that practice then more power to you.
