  • She was, and IS most certainly hmong... NOT chinese... Damn chinese.... Claiming her to be one of them....

  • 1:28 looks like Kim Jong-il

  • Why there's not blood ?

  • @TheSuperieur I'm pretty sure that when they mummify, all body fluids are dried out! Best regards, Travels With Sheila

  • Wow, that was really interesting. thank you Sheila! I love,Love mummies and different cultures funeral rites, was lucky to see the museum of Cairo, and the Egypt rooms in the London museum, but haven't been to China, great video Thank You!

  • @dianalee84 Thank you for your nice comments. I find the mummies fascinating and loved the animal mummy room at the Egyptian Museum. Thanks for watching! Happy New Year. Travels With Sheila

  • Her hair is so well preserved, lol.

  • Holy shit why is it so loud, i thought there in a MUSEUM. That's China for you..

  • @DJSbros Not only is it loud, but the people push and shove their way to the front of every exhibit. One woman and I almost duked it out! Thanks for watching and commenting. Best regards, Travels With Sheila

  • @travelswithsheila ya... is like you are paying to see people rather then what you were paying to see

  • @DJSbros diff. culture my friend

  • most perfect preservations compare to egyptians

  • i would not tap that...

  • @ryryb1999 dont lie

  • why aren't her feet bound?

  • @terdilynn91 I don't think foot binding was prevalent until the 17th century. But that's a very good observation. Thanks for watching. Best regards, Travels With Sheila

  • @terdilynn91

feet binding was not in practice until the 10th century, 1000 years after this lady died.

  • I was expecting a guide to go "...And here we have Kim Jong Il taking a nap-now let's go see the mummy!"

  • @YouShouldBeSpankful Very funny, and I really like your screen name. Wish I was clever enough to come up with something like that. Best regards, Travels With Sheila

  • @travelswithsheila I heard these so call chinese dug her up in thailand . Took her body to china and claims she is chinese. There enough evidence that she is miao hmong not chinaman. Why do idiots do things like this. Do the research and youll see why hmong and chinese have so much conflict.

  • is that the mummie @ 3:01 in the vid ?

  • @BrahmsDJ Sure is...I said the mummy looked better than I do! Not one of my finer days. It's rare that I do look good in the videos. Traveling is stressful! Best regards, Travels with Sheila

  • Hey I am # 10,000!

  • She's hmong

  • Great commentary! Thanks for the lesson

  • omg my aunt saw the episode on ngc but i miss it ugh anways thats cool

  • Moral of the story:

No matter how badly you want to "lie in peace for the rest of eternity." There will always be future generations who will dig your azz up and put you on display ;-)

  • @myrtlebox So true. Nobody is going to dig me up because I am going to be zilliions of little ashes. Cremated! Best regards, Travels With Sheila

  • @myrtlebox I surely would be in no condition to care if they dug me up. I would only hope it helped humanity in some way.

  • very very mysterious. I saw the autopsy. she had no rigamortis

  • Did her clothes survive? Not the ones in the tomb but the ones she was wearing when they put her in. Did they have to unclothe her for the examiniation?

  • @ missgoldendreams13 ,let me quess why the mouth is open.for the chinese noble some times they put pearls in the mouth.that s why the mouth is open.the pearl has been took away.

  • @qiozholic A person learns something new every day! What a thought. Cremation for me since that lady's bones look better than my knobby knees right now. Thanks for taking the time to watch and commenting. Best regards, Travels With Sheila

  • @travelswithsheila

    Sheila,

You should watch the documentary I have uploaded about MAWANGDUI (with English subtitles) :

    w w w . y o u tu b e . co m/ watch?v=0fFnDpy2c1A

  • @mehdan2 Will do and thanks! Travels With Sheila

  • @qiozholic

I thought she was Hmong...not Chinese, because it was said that when her coffin was found, she had drawings on her casket and the designs were like the traditional Hmong desgins...

  • @indricablurrmyIS I don't think she was, according to my guide and what I found on the Internet. But, who knows! Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. Best regards, Travels With Sheila

  • the tongue swells after death..

  • I have two questions. Question 1:Did you find out how tall she was? Because I calculated her weight, and it came to be about 154 pounds. I'm guessing she had to be very short to be that overweight. Question 2: Is her mouth open? I could almost swear in the video that I could see her tongue sticking out.

  • @MissGoldenDreams13 Gosh, I wish I could answer your questions. The museum probably knows the answer and perhaps if you google Hunan Provincial Museum, they'll have the answers on their website. Thanks for watching and commenting. Best regards, Travels With Sheila

  • Cute face :) :D

  • Wow! This was VERY interesting! Thank you for sharing it!

  • @Daliwolf I, personally, have never seen a mummy like this one. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. Best regards, Travels With Sheila
