  • freakin goose bumps everytime I watch that goal

  • Datsyuk should apologize to Vokoun.

  • only datsyuk can create an open net shot in a shootout.

  • My grandma could embarrass vokun

  • Crosby would be good if he would stop being a whiney bitch and a crybaby and if someone hits him he doesnt try to fight him

  • if justin bieber played hockey, she'd be puck

  • @flankkh

she'd rather be empty net lol

  • If Michael Jackson played hockey, he'd be Derick Boogaard.

  • @24Maxime24 That's not funny. Don't chirp at the guys who can't chirp back.

  • I downloaded it and watched it several times frame by frame. Still can't figure out why he bites and commits too soon... See about 0:22 Magic!

  • Un-dress.....

  • my team has a shootout at the end of practice and if u lose you have to wear sparkly fairy wings.... anyways i do this move and it always works.

  • Lmao, I've always loved our commentators!

  • fucking awsome play by Datsuk!!! wow

  • But datsyuk is still better than anyone on the bruins by far

  • Detroit is not the best sports franchise in history, Boston is. Especially now, every team has won a championship in 7 years

  • @bruins3331 Boston? No. Franchise means team. It doesn't mean every sport from the city. It's statistically proven that the Red Wings are the best franchise in history, overall, counting both skill on the team and financial/ownership organization.

Much props to Montreal though. Very good team and definitely my second favorite. Lots of cups.

  • хахахахаа вратарь лох

  • @PokemansAtTheDisco - He goofed up on that because Datsyuk deeked him out of his panties.

  • the DEKE KING !!

  • He is unstoppable in a shootout damn. I bet one day a goalie is just gonna come all the way out and check his ass to the ground Patrick Roy style.

  • no goalie wants to have datsyuk be the one to shoot on them. especially in a shootout.

  • Holy Datsyuk!!! Batman.

  • GO BRUINS!!

  • DETRIOT SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @xRaYslimJIM Haters gonna hate.

  • @xRaYslimJIM Detroit is the best sports franchise of all time. You're an idiot.

  • @sammydems No, actually the Montreal Canadiens are the best sports franchise of all time. They have won more Stanley Cups and have had a deeper history than Detroit does. I'm not saying that I hate the Wings or anything; no they are actually my favourite team, and Pavel Datsyuk is my favourite player of all time. You just have to respect Montreal's talent and achievements over the years.

  • @me6098 I don't disagree that Montreal is a great franchise, but most of their cups came when there were few teams and every great player was Canadian. Detroit is consistently a contender and our players (especially Pavel Datsyuk) are trained to be high caliber. Datsyuk wasn't a first round pick like would be assumed. I think he was a 6th rounder, in fact. No disrespect to the Candiens, though, they're both a couple of teams that no one can really talk bad about.

  • @me6098 montreal is not the best sports franchise team of all time, the only time they won cups was when there was 6 out them, give me a break.

  • @gfranchy SHUT THE FUCK UP ABOUT CHUCK NORRIS

  • This is nice but it appears way better becayse Vokoun completely goofed up on that.

  • "Poor Thomas Vokun is going 'Where did you come up with that" I love it!

  • awesome goal

  • damn.......................................

  • haha

  • @0:14 thats right, celly like your life depended on it.

  • Okay just to set the record straight here, Mickey says "Fort Street" not "4th Street". Anybody who has been downtown for a game, or any other reason for that matter, knows that Fort Street is right by the Joe.

Some say Mickey said 4th Street because it's a poker metaphor, but what sounds more likely? A Detroit reference, or a poker reference? Since this is concerning a DETROIT Red Wings game, I think it's pretty obvious.

  • Datsyuk in on goal and he does it again what a beatuiful goal !

  • Next season the Wings in the East? How does Vokoun feel about that?

  • The goalie should have gotten a penalty for diving..

  • Yo Tomas, your jockstraps in Row 3

  • Didn't even take him out for dinner first.

  • I like your youtube name, RED WINGS FOREVA MAN!

  • 10 PEOPLE DONT KNOW TRUE TALENT!!!

  • Reminds me of the things you see in the NHL Video Games. LOL

  • SHAKE AND BAKE!!!!!

  • He shoots the puck where Vokoun just was, what a dick lol

  • keep pressing 4 for funny

  • I can't watch this and not giggle with joy like a ten year old

  • Undressed

  • press 4 over and over and over ande ove.....

  • It's amazing how relatively simple the move looks, but how effective and difficult it is. At the NHL level, goalies can't wait for the actual shot, but have to predict it based on the players body positioning. When Datsyuk raises his leg and draws the puck back, he's so convincing he has Vokoun commit entirely and with some unbelievable edge work on one foot, ends up with an empty net.

Datsyuk has done this 3 times in the NHL and once in his old league, its gone in every single time. Wow.

  • @Skillsdisplay11 Whats the third time? I know once against Dallas, this one but whats the other?

  • @gmsjr1219 The shootout against the wild, it's in the related videos. That one actually is the most impressive to me, as the goaltender didn't just fall over in the wrong direction, but Datsyuk still beat him. Not as much of a fake shot in that one, more concentration on stickhandling, but the core backhand pull/top shelf finish is there.

  • I think the section behind the net all fell out of their seats

  • The best part, "He had Thomas Vokoun out on Fort Street." Absolutely Hilarious!

  • if it wasn't for his accent you would think he was Canadian haha just jokes for anyone who gets offended by that

  • Anybody else here just absolutely amazed by the edge-work? I'm not very good so don't hate but I played varsity for my school for 4 years and I can't do that shit goin 75% speed.

  • If Chuck Norris played hockey, he'd be Pavel Datsyuk.

  • @gfranchy He would look like Kris Draper but play like Datsyuk.

  • @gfranchy no he'd lose to datsyuk

  • @gfranchy No, he'd be Kris Draper B)

  • @gfranchy No, he'd be Vokoun, lol

  • @gfranchy If Chuck Norris played Pavel Datsyuk, he'd be hockey. Wha?

  • @gfranchy actually he would be ovechkin+crosby+datsyuk all in one=can score, can dangle, and can pass

  • @gfranchy no Pavel Datsyuk > Chuch Norris :)

  • Comment removed

  • This isnt even fair. haha. Pavs is a beast when it comes to every aspect of the game of hockey, Go Wings!!!

  • mannnnn I fucking love datsyuk

  • im not a big fan of the shootout in NHL, hockey is a team sport but after this one goal i accepted the fact that shootouts are in the leauge

  • FORT STREET

  • its a glitch. :o

  • ive been to fourth street, you dont want to be there

  • @xNickRizzox ......he said fort street....so no i dont think u been there..

  • I love how he always roofs it when he does this. . .simply because he can.

  • Datsyuk had more control over his Vokoun's body than Vokoun's own mind

  • Just one word: Omark

  • @wiidlund who fucking cares about omark he has no skill to datsyuk so just shut your fucking mouth

  • @detroitredwings2009 actually that's not true and you'd be going nuts if omark would play in detroit.. omark happens to be one of the most skilled players in the nhl(top15 atleast) but i really did not find the idea of wiidlund to say "omark"? what's the point. both are skilled players but i can't see no omark on this vid.

  • @stardustie Omark is the greatest shootout specialist in the history of hockey BUT he isn't that great during games. That's exactly why he has been playing in the AHL recently.

  • @LocoGroove In the history of hockey? What on earth are you talking about? Not only has the shootout been around for a small number of years, there have been many players who deserve to be called shootout specialists much more so than Omark, who has made his name with juts a couple of slick moves so far.

  • @12OclockLow Okay, you're clearly American/Canadian so you don't know about Omarks years in Sweden. The rumour says that the last time Omark fucked up a shootout was when he was 16...he's so good.

  • @LocoGroove Dude, give it a rest. Omark is not the greatest shootout technician by a longshot.

  • @LocoGroove I'm Russian. Omark has already fucked up the shootout twice in 4 tries since joining the NHL. Not saying he's bad, but that rumour is obviously wrong. And if you want to talk Europe (and seeing as I know a thing or two about hockey in Russia), how about Slava Kozlov, who has been beating goalies in shootouts for years in Russia and the NHL. Notably, he has the best scoring percentage of all players in the NHL, and if we're talking shootout specialists, that's the important stat.

  • @stardustie i really wouldnt, datsyuk has so much more skill that omark to eb quite honest, datsyuks the most all around player in the NHL. its irritating when people bring up other players that have nothing to do with this video, omark is nothing to datsyuk

  • @detroitredwings2009 Haha wow, someone needs to get laid..! :D

  • @wiidlund from seeing your videos i think your the one that needs to get laid:)

  • BEAST!

  • That's just sick!

  • The thing is that its not actually pullling off the moves..but its making more, everytime pavel datsyuk dekes its with a new move..hes just soo creative

  • I don't even think that's embarrassing. Its just world class.

  • "He had Thomas Vokoun out on 4th street."

    LOL

  • @PrinceK2007 Fort St. lol. Either way it was awesome.

  • @shanahan142008

Fort St.? What does that mean?

Having someone on 4th street is a poker metaphor.

  • @JJJMMM1 Fort St. is the main drag just outside Joe Louis Arena where the Wings play

  • @JJJMMM1 there is a fort st. here

  • @shanahan142008 He definetly says 4th street

  • @xXannihilationXx he says fort st. becouse thats the street here

  • @xXannihilationXx No, he says fort street. The Joe Louis is just off of it.

  • @James76012 Who gives a fuck? That just goes to show you how great scouts the redwings have ;) They always pick some late round nobodys and those "nobodys" turn out to be awesome players

  • @LocoGroove AGREED! The Wing's are masters at looking beyond the initial draft and finding the developing talent and talent potential. I always thought this about the wings... true masters from the top to the bottom.

  • @LocoGroove yea they just give 'em much icetime 'n' shifts so they can bring their skill up to the sky and make the crucial things happen in their game. they make the players so good by givin' responsibility. one really good example is filppula from FINLAND! :D

  • @stardustie That's right. Detroit Red Wings is the hockey team in the world, no doubt about it.

  • @LocoGroove And that is the only sports team that we michiganders have to look up to. Fuck the lions, the tigers are okay but the red wings, now thats something to be proud of.

  • this move and datsyuk are both great, however i have seen him do this move a LOT of times and every time people blow their shit like it's the first time it's ever been done. he wasn't the first to do it, and this isn't the first time he himself has done it.

  • @DeeJaySeeJay its an amazingly difficult move to do, thats why ppl are amazed, its incredibly hard to pull off, and he even does it at game speed vs dallas, dont be jealous, just enjoy it

  • how many does he have on his repertoire

  • thumbs up if you know where fort street is (also if you think Datsyuk is amazing)

  • he deeked out the goal cam. thats a hockey player right there and on my detroit team

  • Mickey Redmond- "Look at that shake n bake!!!" Love it.

  • the guy at 00:13 was marking out so hard it was like he scored the goal

  • i love the commentators laugh when he scores LOL

"OH HO HO HO HO" loooool

  • @KPride21 thats mickey redmond for you aka santa claus

  • Near-perfect color commentary. Everything he says is just win!

"He had Thomas Vokoun out on 4th street."

    "Look at this Shake'N Bake."

"Oh, look out, oh OH where are we goin'..."

"Oh my goodness, gracious!" *Santa-style HOHOHO*

  • @ThePedMeister That's "Fort St." Its around the corner from the Joe.

  • @idontknowanothername Ahh, I just assumed the Joe was somewhere in downtown Detroit and in most cities around here, the downtown streets are numbered! Thanks for the correction. You learn something new everyday...

  • lmao gotta love Micky Reddman...

  • its like he just picked turco up, moved him over 5 feet, and continued with the shot

  • @MitchTheLightSwitch what did i ever do to u?

  • I did something similar to that, but sloppier and not as fast but had the same affect on the goalie. It was a lucky move for me to pull it off.

  • @TheHockeyDude92 You're the worst.

  • no ones better one on one against a goalie than datsyuk. no one.

  • datsyuk is the master of destroying goalies at their best .

  • You number one picks are overrated! 171st pick ftw!

  • @MichaeIJacksonLives Lol, look at the history of the wings draft picks... lidstrom, zetty, franzen, they have all been late rounders ^_^. Why they are one of the best teams in the league, year in year out.

  • Большое спасибо Крикунову!

    Пашка-молорик!!:))

  • dangle and a half

  • The linus omark goal is much more prettier then this, but still a nice goal this :)

  • dangle sauce to the max

  • datsuk or ovi?

  • What a way to shoot down a goalie's confidence... Crazy!

  • god damn how he squares up his body at 0:20 totally freezing vokoun, then in one fluid movement pulls the toe drag and goes on one skate....

  • wow. that snap right before he brings back right for the goal would make any goalie think he took the shot... thats amazing

  • 10 people are jelous of Datsyuk's skills

  • SHAKE AND BAKE!

  • He even fooled the goal cam

  • @Rocksoldier83 I was going to like this comment, but you're already at 13.

  • @Rocksoldier83 amen!!!!!!!

  • im a wings fan, & i play hockey. you know what makes his signature goal? His left foot, its unnatural for a left handed shot to turn his left foot on the inside, & thats what he does, screws the goalies right up. Gotta love this guy, he might not be the top scorer of the league, but in my opinion, hes the most exciting to watch in the NHL

  • @erick19682001 exactly! good eyes my friend. everyone thinks its his stick work...which is still impressive. But this is datsyuks signature move because anyone else who tries to attempt this exact move as well as pavel does it will prolly break their ankle or something

  • for those 9 nashville fans out there, you missed the like button

  • Comment removed

  • thats so unbelievable, hes so patient with the puck

  • you wouldn't happen to have the original video or one in higher quality, would you?

  • "Look at this shake 'n' bake"

Awesome line to go with an awesome move

  • If Datsyuk could do this to a great goalie like Vokoun, I'd love to see Datsyuk play with a kid goalie or an average joe.

  • he did more than embarrass him

  • that is fucking dirt nasty, bar down and out too. dirt nasty

  • datsyuk emberasses every goalie everyone

  • in Soviet Russia, Vokoun embarrasses Datsyuk

  • The players of the league say its an amazing goal and ill take there word for it. Seeing as they are the best players in the world they probably know more about what makes a goal amazing than the rest of us.

  • The only chance any goalie has of stopping this is if Datsyuk fucks it up.

  • HOLY SANTA CLAUSE SHIT

  • He didn't embarrass him. Datsyuk is one of the best ever in the shootout. One of a kind. Vokoun has nothing to be ashamed of. And this is coming from a preds fan and i'm not ashamed to say datsyuk is a straight up legit beast

  • too bad the move is illegal as he clearly moves the puck backwards twice

  • @slickrick8981 too bad the move is legal as he clearly remains moving forward the whole time.

  • @slickrick8981 his body keeps moving forward and that is what matters

  • @slickrick8981 its too bad, you obviously dont know the rul at all, since its the player who cant move backwards. nice try though, good luck next time you try to troll an amazing goal

  • @slickrick8981 lol you can do that, your BODY cant move backwards, as to skate back. If you couldn't move the puck back than how would you take a wrist shot?

  • absolutely ridiculous. the only thing more impressive than this is the fact that he actually did in against dallas during live game action and not in a shootout

  • soooo smooth and clean datysuk is a dirty dangler

  • Datsyuk created life...

  • he is our best player

  • I'v done something LIKE this but not quite as unique and not on a NHL Goalie but a 20 year old.

  • Datsyuk is God's Father....

  • this move should be illegal by now... i mean you cant make fun a goalie like that. ahah seriously i cant get bored of seeing this shoutout.

  • easily the dirtiest goal ive seen in my life

  • Datsyuk=the art of the deke/the art of undressing a goaltender. Period

  • it's crazy how easy Datsyuk makes it look

  • the goalies just bite to early for the fake shot but it looks so real its crazy. vokoun was way to deep also look how far he is in the paint by the end of it

  • why do goalies even bother standing in net when Datsyuk lines up for the shootout. You might as well let him have the empty net and sit on the bench that way it is a little less embarrassing

  • I PULLED THIS OFF 2NITE 1st time trying it... ( didnt do it again.. ) BUT TO SEE THE EMPTY NET JUST STAIRING U IN THE FACE... IS FUCKEN AWESOME!

  • ive watched this so many times! i cant stop

  • nothing u can do if you were goalie

  • so sick..
