jenni, thank you for posting this on Remembering John Denver. What a wonderful treat. I don't remember watching it. How could I have missed it??? I have been a JD fan since John's first song I heard on the radio many years ago. I really enjoyed it!
@BlueiiiedLady You're so welcome, Frankie! :) I remember when I taped this...I was a young teenager at home and had saved my babysitting $ to buy my own VCR. Living in the country, we didn't have cable, hence the grainy image! :/ Still, I was thrilled to have one of my first John Denver programs I could watch over and over! :) Happy New Year!...Jenni
I can't begin to thank you enough for posting this. I have hunted it for it for 20 years!!! I was 13 when it aired, watched b/c I loved The Sound of Music. It was the first time I'd heard John Denver, I fell in love with his voice, and have been his biggest fan ever since, still going strong! It aired a 2nd time and I recorded it, but my brother taped over it a year later, and I haven't found it since. Ironically, I found this posting today ... on his birthday! THANK YOU!!!!!!
Mr. Domingo with his booming voice and yet you can hear the glorious tone of Ms. Andrews clearly ringing over his. ALthought i never understood why she took the lower A-flat! Ugh! She could have done it for posterity! Looking back, I am sure she would think...oh well, should have sung the A-flat and showed him your no better trained in good singing than I!
You just couldn't image how crazy I am while finding this gift from you. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you so much!
