Not that there's anything wrong with grandma-friendly, top-20 rock and roll with weak drumming and bland guitar..I just get sick of hearing 'Where the streets have no name' after the 3,000th time. Overrated how? they write there own songs. bono has a great voice (no autotune), the rest of the band are excellent, they are the only band that could probably make me cry with there genius songs. Rock wouldn't be the same to this day if there was no U2. Also I think they are pretty underrated, I rarely hear them on the radio and TV..

Achtung Baby is as good an album as The Joshua Tree and those two albums are in the top ten of all-time. They are true masterpieces of music with arguably no filler, just 100% pure top-shelf music.

They did this song the first half of the 360 tour. Well, they did it on Chicago Sept. 12th 2009 anyway, and it made my entire two years until they came back July 5th 2011. Only on that show it was the 30 year anniversary of this album, and they played everything I never thought I'd see them play live, and it was.....awesome....I can't think of a big enough word. I LOVE U2!

War is the U2 album i'd own if i could only have one, but this is the one i re-listen to the most. i wore out a copy of War when it first came out. Joshua Tree- excellent but overplayed when released so i don't need to hear it so much. this is one of my fave tracks from Achtung Baby.

Joshua Tree is "officially" U2's best album. And it's one of the greatest albums of all time, but Achtung, Baby is actually their best album. Like Joshua Tree, every song is great, but Achtung, Baby is a singular experience. It came out of a time when the band wasn't sure they had anything to contribute and considered breaking up and you can hear the urgency and desperation that they wanted to be relevant and meaningful as a band. The Unforgettable Fire is my favorite FWIW.

My initial view of the Achtung (in 1991) is that it left me cold; however, it has held together better than Joshua. The latter benefits from having two #1 hits on it that everyone considers among their finest compositions: "With or Without You" and "I Still Haven'f Found What I'm Looking For."
