  • so bottom line pits do not make good guard dogs, however they do make good attack dogs; snd yes there's a difference.

    Watchdogs- Bark at intruders

Guarddogs- Bite anyone that trespasses on your property.

Attackdogs- Attack anyone that isn't their owner regardless of the sittuation.

Schutzhund- Protection dogs the best of the best.

  • It's not known the exact breeds that created the Doberman however it is recorded that Herr Dobermann bred the Pinscher to the Rottweiler,Great Dane, Weimaraner, German Short haired Pointer, Greyhound, French Sheaperd, and the GSD.

  • It's recorded that Herr Doberman owned a Pinscher, Rottweiler (that was given to him by his butcher employer), and a Weimaraner. (that he used as his hunting dog.) It's recorded that he used his Rottweiler when he worked as a tax-rent collector/nightwatchman; and he used his Pinscher when he worked as a sheriff.

Her Dobermann one day had a dream to create one dog that would be able to work at all of his jobs so Herr Dobermann created the Doberman.

  • The Doberman on the other hand was bred by Herr Dobermann. (it's not known his full name; but most believe his name was Herr Karl Louis Friedrich Dobermann; who was born in the 1830's) Herr Dobermann was a sheriff/tax-rent collector/hunter/ and he worked as a skinner/nightwathchmen for the local butcher; he also was a dog catcher and owner of a dog pound and as fate would have it he was also a german pinscher breeder.

  • Even though pits are normally friendly toward humans any dog can be trained to bite. Even though GSD/Malinoa are the most comen PSDs (police service dog) today k9 LEO allows pits as patrol dogs.

    (Along with- Doberman/Boxer/Blue Heelers/Giant Schnauzer/Rottweilers)

(would of commented earlier but I had to feed my dobe)

  • Ok I don't know how the pitbull got brought up on this vid; but pits are not guard dogs.

Pitbulls where bred for bear baiting. which is where a bear hunter would tie a pit up to a stake in a pit (hence the name pitbull) and use it as bait for bear hunting. Pitbulls have high social drives which is the reason why they normally are very loving toward humans; and they also have mid-high prey drive which is the reason why they normally are aggressive towards other animals.

  • BRAVO!:)

  • They dont send the dog after the weapon hand as these dogs are trained usually as military dogs or police dogs, if the person produces a deadly weapon(knife, gun, rifle) then they are SHOT as the person poses an immediate threat to the dog and the handler, these dogs are treated as another soldier/officer and will not deployed into clear risk unless there is no choice.... They are training to subdue and hold someone until the person is arrested or immobalised.

  • Okay, great, if you're ever being mugged by a big fat sleeve your "protection trained" dog will maul the sleeve for you. Of course, while the dog is busy carrying the sleeve around like a prize the mugger is now sticking a gun up your nose and taking your wallet and your Rolex.

  • Well how do you propose they train them?

This how they have trained Military dogs for over a hundred years and it WORKS, It is designed to make the bite and hold on to subdue, not to 'maul'.

  • Okay, first of all if I'm the bad guy with a gun in one hand I'm gonna feed my other arm to the attack dog and then while he's busy "holding on" I'm going to shoot him with my gun hand, get it? Result = Dead dog. Ditto for stabbing the dog with a knife. There should be a suit developed that protects the body without bulkiness on one arm and then the dogs should be trained to go for the hand/arm holding the weapon, for starters. Just targeting a bulging sleeve will get the dog killed.

  • Partners account, not mine

They dont send the dog after the weapon hand as these dogs are trained usually as military dogs or police dogs, if the person produces a deadly weapon(knife, gun, rifle) then they are SHOT as the person poses an immediate threat to the dog and the handler, these dogs are treated as another soldier/officer and will not be deployed into clear risk unless there is no choice.... They are training to subdue and hold someone until the person is arrested or immobalised.

  • Okay, whatever......

  • i love dobermanssss

  • Uhhh TheMicEntertainer2 you don't know shit about pitbulls brother pitbulls where bred for dog fighting not protection work, they are sweet to people but dog aggressive sorry. And my uncle has been breeding them in Selma Alabama for 24 years, and they ain't good at protection hell he has a german shepard named Nazi that does the over all protection of the home.

  • Pitbulls arent guard dogs... they're dog fighters. No breed is better than the doberman for protection purposes

  • I had a highly train doberman to guard my house and my house still got rob so I said F*** it and sold that punk ass dog and got my self a pit bull

  • I doubt that did the better job. Pits were bred to fight and are very aggressive to other dogs, however, they were bred to be the sweetest things to people. Pits are not guard dogs.

On the other hand Dobermanns are. They were bred to do such work. If you really want your house to be well and protected get an alarm system!

  • yeah thats what this dude had thought but when he try to pet my pit my dog try to take the man hand off I dont know who's spreading all these lies about the true pitbull aggressive they are aggressive on people and animals you been around to many half breeded pits to even think pits not aggressive on people

  • Pitbulls were bred to fight. A well bred Pitbull will be extremely aggressive to other dogs, on the other hand they will be sweet to people. Have a think about they way they fought. The owners put the the dogs in the pits to fight and the owners had to take them back out again.

This meant the dog HAD to been sweet to the human. If in any time that particular dog bit his own owner he would simply shoot the dog dead.

It sounds as if your Pit is not well bred

  • if you cant come over my house to prove my pit bull wont rip your ass apart then case close thank you bye

  • Well then you obviously have not been treating him right if he is ready to do that to any person who visits.

  • I see you dont know shit about full breed pits all pit bulls have the well to go after another person or dog its just in there blood you should buy one and find this out for your self but be careful make sure he is full blooded because full blooded pits are very rare these days

  • Again. A well bred Pitbull will be extremely aggressive to other dogs while sweet to humans. If your dog does not fit this category he hasn't been well bred. There are many horrible breeders out there and it sounds as if you bought from one. Either that or the dog doesn't get treated properly.

  • you couldnt tell well breeded pit if one would have can up and lick you so dont tell me anything about well breeded pits my uncle family members been breeding pits from the start

  • Yes and is he registered, has he had all his tests done, won certain shows with his female?? Sounds to me like he could be an Irresponsible dog owner. Gee, if your telling me all this stuff about Pits you really shouldn't own one as you haven't done your research.

  • here you are again entertainer. you are pretty entertaining though. its about how your dogs are raised. PERIOD. have you ever seen caesar milans american pitbulls? they are the most well behaved, people and dog friendly alike and they are absolutely pure bred.

  • hey why dont you try reading up on pits LOL because you sure need to know how pits act around dogs

  • @nutsack666 Caesar Milans pit Daddy isn't even his dog. The dog is owned by rapper Red Man, and lives with Caesar while Red Man is on tour or traveling around for acting jobs or doing other stuff for work which is most of the year. Caesar may partly co-own Daddy but the dog is primarly owned by Red Man.

  • @effini333 the dogs been dead a while. the dog was owned by redman but it spent most of his time with the millans before they got divorced.

  • ottimo soggetto e anche la condutrice

  • hey quick question maybe someone can help me. Why don't they ever send the dog towards the weapon hand? wouldn't it make more sense, I know its used to simulate him being beaten by someone but what if that stick was a knife or worse a handgun? I would hate to see this training in real life....

  • you're right...what if a"bad guy" has a knife or a gun? how to do? If he hurts my dog I'm ready to bite that guy myself.

  • well see heres the thing if you ask me, all this doberman training is bullshit. Ive worked with my doberman on my own and we never use a stick or a arm bite because threats in real life don't come swinging sticks and wearing a target on their arm that says BITE ME!!! the dog thinks its a game. This training is not required for a doberman to protect unless you get a "bad" dog, dobes protect naturally. Mine has been a life saver...more than once.

  • Really amazing..beautiful dog, better decoy,he knows the job for training the dobermann, loyals and succesful dogs, the dobermann are the very best of breed, for trainning and work are superb breed.I love them .Grettings from Mexico
