  • excellent guy, main stream media has given us nothing but lies, falsehood and half trues. Keep up the good work.

  • Americans are truly SLEEP WALKING wow.. eye opening video.

  • hahahaahaahhaa

  • Seems as if these americans don't understand what the debt means, it means the collapse of the dollar and no more supermarkets or malls. To give u an idea what inflation looks like, Gas reg.$4.08gal, a bag of chips $5.34, candy bar $1.10 just 1 year ago $.50, do u understand, thats about a 60% increase. Please my fellow americans u can hope for the best, but expect the worst, prepare and buy at least 1 yr. supply of food also water, guns, ammo, Gold, Silver, etc. U have to prepare your mind now.

  • find that first girl again so I can ask her out on a date :)

  • This is why we have 2.5 yrs of food storage, and Silver, SILVER!!

  • hav not had full-time job in 3yrs....currently hav part-time work as a security guard..mim wage..it suxs...cant survive.... the economy will never b the same again...even technology will b a job killer...u dont need 10,000 ppl at 1 place anymore. u can hav 5 robots 2 do the same job.....born in the wrong time.

  • 7:35 "they've got schemes worked out"...lol

  • 7:30 Schemes like FEMA camps? go figure. The public always looks towards the government for aid

  • @YouDiddntSeeAnything You are right! I ain't gettin in no stinkin food line!! WE have food storage and growing veggies and fruit and I grind my wheat!!

  • @savgal1211 completely agree!

  • Self sufficiency is lost to the majority of folks. Think about how much time it would take, if people aren't eating, for civil unrest and Marshall Law to occur . Let me just say it would be swift. If people had a different mindset and were prepared they could avoid the chaos and violence which is in our future and focus on problem solving.

  • Will it happen? You bet it will....Soon? Yes. Buy Food, more food, ammo and ass-wipe. When it happens, try to trade Gold and Silver for staples. They will laugh at your precious metals ....Whiskey,Tobacco,Batteries, Vitamins, t.p., etc. will be the currency in a hyperinflation scenario. Learn from countries that have experienced it and you will get a pretty good idea what we will go through...except it will be 100x worst.

  • INFLATION+SUN WONKYNESS+PEAK OIL+SHTF!

  • Bravo!!...

    Great idea to hit "Mainstreet"....

Many are aware of what happens, but cannot fully comprehend what is coming.

The extortionist, Bernanke(chair, Federal Reserve: remember, is as federal as Fed-Ex), seeks to "prop-up" what has been. For now, success. Yes, the market goes up, but at what expense?.....the future generations are penniless...the ruse piles the debt load heavy, and they will bear it. Truth.

Stay awake, stay vigil, stay informed.

  • Pete you went to the affluent area of california. hehehe

Now if you asked the average california they would be braindead.

  • That first girl in the beginning of the video so did not understand the inflation or federal reserve but was just trying to sound smart and agree with you.

  • It's funny how the poorly groomed people have a bettter idea about what is happening.

  • Did that guy say profligate?

  • @fleckx Yes, meaning; wildly extravagant.

  • @taznruby Duh, that's just oddly extravagant of him to say, LOL.

  • @fleckx Copy that. :)

  • The American people will only be set free by a total collapse of this parasitic system.

  • The propaganda has a firm hold, they will only see it when it's knocking down the front door. The suffering is coming and most are unaware of it. I'm all in on silver.

  • I know its a tall order, but it would be great to interview people OTHER than Californians. Just to get even more diverse results. Maybe try to gather trends of opinions from different regions of the country. If you must stay in California, maybe try to target some out of state tourists or something.

  • Typical, Americans who are insulated from the crisis don't really care about the millions of their fellow countrymen who are really suffering. This is what sickens me about our society.

  • You're very good at this bro. I'd consider a career in this deptmt if I were you.

  • @Avisualrecord Excellent presentation! I am baffled that there is still people that don't know what's going on. How is that even possible? I know of fellow students that don't even watch any kind of news; and they wonder why they don't know what's going on, lol. Keep up the good work guys.

  • great new channel, love this keep it up

  • @Avisualrecord - Great Job Brother!

I am very happy to see someone get the representation of the public perception of the current and future economic situation. It's good to see that some of the people in this video are awake and sad to see some are still fast asleep. Again, Good job brother.

  • Do U know why gold is in demand?

  • @TheLetsbegin Because Gold has worldly value. It has "real" value due to scarcity unlike pieces of paper that have dead presidents printed on them. I would rather have a million dollars in gold than a million dollars in bills.

  • @MascisMan1 Thanks 4 Ur comment; a buyer of gold told me it was the only comodity China would accept as payments for all the debt the rest of the world owes to them?

  • @0amaam Correction, statism improves the standard of living for the parasites at the top of the power structure. It decreases for everyone not dependent on the state for their income.

  • @0amaam Well, my suggestion is to try a new system (or non-system). Statism started in Egypt thousands of years ago and has CONSISTENTLY led to starvation, oppression, and a general decline in quality of life for everyone. Violence doesn't solve problems, and if people keep acting like it does then America and other countries will enter into a fascist, technological police state.

  • What inflation, there is no stinking inflation......Five dollar for a loaf of bread, nonsense....For the first time since I have had a job, I feel broke...Thanks to everyone who voted for change....

  • @pdlumina - Pete, Excellent job. You missed your calling brother !

The guy outside of the business starting with the name "Marin" is parroting everything he hears on MSM! This poor guy, who looks like he has it together, is really completely lost. The guy with the goatee and the young guy with the headphones were really sharp!

It was interesting to hear many of them believe the economy will get worse, but that we won't have a food crisis! They can't follow the progression and put it together.

  • I like what the man at the end said " food and commodities will jump in price 14 times over night"

  • What a terrific concept! One of the best vids I've seen on YT. Great job guys!

  • I think that you found a good representation of the public perception of the economy. I am actually positively surprised to realise how your guests were aware of the reality in thier own way.

  • Older people are much more optimistic at this point. Social disparity will continue to grow faster and faster until you see the level of BRIC countries of income disparity in US. Retirees will be the most affected by already started hyperinflation.

  • @Alexiscom1 I think older people are holding on to false hope/optimism for the exact reason you mentioned. "Retirees will be the most affected by already started hyperinflation."

  • Good job, why you just use your channel?

  • Great video. Thumbed and shared on FB.

  • I was pleased to see that most of the people interviewed were informed...As expected the retired couple thinks all is fine

  • You could easily tell that many of these people haven't done a lot of personal research of the situation, but it's encouraging to see that they aren't all claiming the recovery is working like a charm!

  • Im actually surprised at how aware a lot of people seem to be, but they still don't seem to understand the full gravity of the current economic situation

  • Gold and silver " could go down " but whats paper worth

  • Great video. There weren't quite as many morons in your sample as I would have expected. I agree it would be interesting to find out how many people on the street believe the government version of 911.

  • Great idea for a video. I wouldn't mind seeing people who DON'T think there's any problem, just to see where they're at, too.

For what it's worth, I thought some of your questions were too pointed, and implied a 'right answer'. It works better if people feel free to explain their attitudes without having to defend them.

I wouldn't describe the people you show as 'sheeple'. That's good. It wouldn't take that much to get these people to change.

  • This was definitely one of the most interesting videos I have watched here on YT. Always very interesting to hear what the common man say about the economy and the financial situation, much more than listening to so called "experts" on main stream media. Thanks Avisualrecord and pdlumina for a great work! Two thumbs up!

  • Great job on showing how everyday people are affected by the depression, and I say depression because that is what it is, not a double dip, etc. The reason I say this is since we’ve been printing up exorbitant amounts of money through the fed it’s only given the illusion of stability, once we lose our place as the World Reserve Currency the fed won’t be able to print up any more money, thus the collapse they’ve been preventing for the past 3 years.

  • So it seems kind of hit or miss with regards to people that are informed about the state of the world. It's interesting to see that the people that don't really think about things like that are the same ones that are very sure of their views about it.

  • pdlumina! The chap at the end needs to see the doctor about that disgusting yankee accent. jeeeezzz!

  • thumbs up on taking it to the streets man!!!

  • Could you please ask them if they are preparing?, and for the ones that sound like they might be saveable eg: 'i know something bad is coming but i dont know what to do' at least give them a quick list of stuff to buy and a few youtube channels on prepping or keywords to search, seems like the right thing to do. Thanks for the great new format.

  • Sounds to me like no one really knows much about what they're talking about. I think they are just saying what they think you want to hear, though it seems like most of them have a general sense that things are going to get worse. Given that, it's amazing that so few people are doing things that make sense.

  • Way to go PD, this was great of you

  • GREAT JOB GUYS

  • Great, for your next video, ask a large random sample of people in the street if they think 911 was an inside job.

  • @arcanacelestia It obviously was.

  • well done gentleman great questions and very well produced lumina loved your other channel but this is the best work yet keep it up gentleman i know i am , im buyin more silver this morning and friday . F the fiat

  • How can there be a food crisis when there are 7 billion people on earth all of them edible? I think people are just too picky about what they eat!

  • @CONSTRINGACY LMAO

  • Excellent stuff pdlumina! Keep em' coming!

  • That was a great idea to hit the streets that way PD. Great to hear their thoughts. Did you interveiw others ? and how many, or what percent were of the mind set of the last person on the vid? What is you opinion of a rough time frame for the unfolding that your last person talked about? It seems that the powers that be are able keep pushing the end date down the road. Thanks for you and Avisualrecords efforts.

  • Awesome collaboration

Keep talking to the people, Some of them know.

  • this was good cross section of people, very respectful from both sides of interview. i say excellent in presentation and instruction for viewer.

  • These folks are a lot more informed than I imagined. Pleasantly surprised.

  • Pretty good job bub! Keep up the good work!

  • Great job! The man on the street view of things, right or wrong.

  • I like how you asked the Chinese guy "will the US dollar be challenged as the world reserve currency?"

  • awesome- it's nice to see what's REALLY going on- some ppl are clueless...some are awake and it's not who you'd think

  • lol...its gonna hit like a sack of bricks strapped to a freight train

  • @1x93cm

Ouch! That's a really heavy sack of bricks!

  • wow , you found a lot more ppl who have a clue than i know. the onlyones that have any idea of the shitstorm coming are my friends who i have convinced. The last guy has a good idea. but i even doubt he knows how bad it is gonna get.

  • outstanding bro. wish i coulda been there for this.

  • Just looking at the political climate in countries more immediately affected by the economy, food shortages, and oil access shows that we're in some major trouble(MAJOR--this year).. but I dont think interviewing people on the streets says ANYTHING at all. I would actually value such input at 0. Bias/opinion is what we are receiving from the govt and corporate influenced media sources.

What is needed is cold hard FACTS. Spreading REAL info.

    Thanks for sharing, though

  • @xESOTERlC "I dont think interviewing people on the streets says ANYTHING at all. " Agree. Most citizens are puzzled, uncertain, wary and distrustful of government. Some think there will be inflation; some don't. I'm not sure where this channel is going, but it looks a bit like the dog chasing its tail. Pete, get back to doing what you do well: news aggregation, juxtaposition, joining the dots and analysis.

  • Nice job pd & Avisual! The difference between what YOU do and what MSM are night and day. ("MSM tells us") what people think.

Some good answers from the people. Very aware of what's going on around them. I have hope in America yet.

  • Must of been annoying interviewing a lot of sheeple. Good questions though !

  • Hmm, there is something be learned here...

    those who know, know alot...

Those who don't know are truly clueless and are helpless as kittens.

  • Good work. It's nice to hear the pulse of the people

  • man some people need to wake up

  • gratzz

  • Cool let the people give an opinion.

  • Great job!

  • Glad to see that you aren't getting too many answers that indicate the people not knowing anything. That balding guy (that thinks a recovery is on) is probably the most clueless of the bunch.

  • PD you are a real pro. Very high quality video. I am surprised you were able to find so many people who had any idea what you are talking about. How about a video with some of the blank stares and sleepwalkers? The format and interview technique was really good. You should do more of these.

  • @aeromaton I totally agree!

  • Look at all the sheeple! Except that dude at the end! Where did you find that guy?

  • @TheHossUSMC "... that dude at the end! ..." That was my impression, too. Looks like being self-employed and suffering the consequences of economic events beyond his control have sharpened his critical faculties. I felt sorry for him, but also confident he'll bounce back.

  • One EXTREME optimist...can anyone point him out? lol

  • ten thumbs up guys!

  • Great in-sight into what America and individual Americans are thinking .

    Thanks for your work .

  • this is really solid reporting, thank you for getting the word out, today we are the news, the real news, all of us - who knows if tomorrow will even have news

  • Awesome... Hope you guys have fun with this project.

  • Nice work. FWIW, Make sure your video represents the sentiment. Don't edit out the stuff that does not play to your tune. Keep it up :-)

  • @halfasheep " Don't edit out the stuff that does not play to your tune." Yeah. Is everyone in your neighbourhood slim, articulate and good looking? Looks like you are selecting your interviewees, if not their comments.

  • Wow, good job. amazing to me how many people are asleep, some just getting the drift.

interesting opportunity for you to use this medium to wake people up via interviewing them.

  • No personal attacks please, either interviewees or commentators.

  • @Avisualrecord Could you repeat that please? =P :09
