I'm a Tarja/Nightwish fan, and Still Of The Night (by Whitesnake, 1987) is one of the best songs ever written. So I really want to love it. And there are moments where the guitar work is SO HEAVY it just adds musically to what was great about the original song. But there are two things wrong. Nobody can play this song like John Sykes, and it isn't quite *right*, and it needs to be right. It's CLOSE, but not. Lastly, Tarja isn't singing with the soul of Coverdale. It just seems technical instead.

This song is so amazing, it's like hearing her whole career, including nightwish, and the song she plays now. The beginning is more like her new style, but at the middle, when the choir joins in it's like the whole nightwish era comes alive and goes together in a very awesome heavy metal opera

And you can't say it's pathetic ; it's not your taste of music, that's all ! She tried ; it didn't work. She'll do better for her next cover ! :)

The guitars aren't tuned in the proper way? Mate it's a cover that suits her. Tarja Turunen isn't a garage band that makes cover that sounds just as the original to make money. No she as so many other bands picked a great song and had their own ideas about how they wanted it to sound. And so they did it. They made them sound the way they wanted it. Not the same as the original. What is the point in that? It's their version of the song. Its not meant to sounds alike to 100%.
