Senator Jim DeMint Republican answer to health care

I am for opening up state policies for competetition but what about regulation? making sure that the insurance companies do not discriminate when it comes to health care.

Right now we have a corporate burocrat deciding who gets what, the president's plan may switch it to a gov. beurocrat but a beurocrat is a bearocrat.

I just want there to be a change that will cover everyone. Health care is not a privelidge but a right.

His plan calls for a 5K voucher or tax credit for families that don't have employer insurance. 5k is way below the national average for a family policy The national average for comprehensive health insurance is $12k.

Also 5k a year for the 30-35 million families that don't have employer health care over ten years is 1.5 -1.75 trillion.

As much or more than the Dem Plan! And it still wouldn't buy a good policy for the average family.
