She was still pretty big at that time -the song isn't her best ,I agree, but her voice&face were  beautiful !!! Mind you , she was still having big hits outside the UK,whereas others female singers weren't.

i wasa born in 1967 and remember watching top of the pops from the early 70s onwards and i too wish my parents were able to afford a vcr in those days but things like vcrs and tvs were so expensive and out of the reach of poor people

and rememer too that expensive items were one of the reasons the bbc wiped so much of the early top of the pops shows.
