  • When I was little, me and all my siblings would climb this huge tree in our yard and sing this song!

  • Arthur is so cute in this movie.:P

  • Haha poor man :P

  • Oh Richard Harris. His frolicking in trees make my day. :)

  • Comment removed

  • richard harris was a charming mofo

  • Ok so I knew that Richard Harris played Dumbledore in Harry Potter, and I knew that Richard Harris played King Arthur. But it just uccured to me that it's the same Richard Harris. I feel stupid:p

  • @92drwhofan I did the same thing. You're in good company. :)

  • "You want to know what the king is wishing tonight?! He's wishing he were in Scotland fishing tonight!!" xD

  • My favorite song out of the whole movie! Makes my day every time I listen.

  • SOOO BRILIANT!! i can't put words to it

  • Dear Richard Harris.... WHY COULDN'T YOU LIVE FOREVER!!! -Love Me

p.s the three people that disliked this video where all Michael Gambon.. who wished he could be as good of Dumbledore as you!!!!!!

  • I LOVE Richard Harris in this movie! I didn't know he had a decent voice, either. I told my little sister that HE is Dumbledore, and she gave me a WTH look! LOL.

  • THE QUEEN !!

  • Best song in the history of the human race.

  • I'm playing this part at my college!!!!

  • who knew dumbledore had a voice?

  • Tonight, two kings, President Barack Obama and the Jewish President of China (spelling his name gives me a headache but Hu is the first name, rhymes with his nationality -- Jew) are dining on steak and lobster. Meanwhile half of Hollywood has turned vegan and the ads by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals have gotten so aggressive about giving up animal-eating or else, that the commercials are banned in the land of the free. A Kosher Cow-Torturing Congress Jew was just shot in the head.

  • He. is. so. cute.

  • push on nr 9 in the keyboard constantly!! :D

  • i like his jacket

  • The title card at the beginning says Burton, not Harris.

  • Best song from the movie and yes, Harris is the best in this!

  • The ending is completely epic, lol. Love the pause.

  • "Think Back... NO NOT THAT FAR BACK! NOT TO THE TIME YOU MET ME! To the time you met Gueniever !

  • I watched this in English class today, and I could not get this song out of my head. His voice, and his eyebrows, express so many things... I am so downloading this onto my iPod.

  • :)) I ♥ It

  • My daddy and I just made a movie night out of this.

I was madly in love with Arthur && Guenevire.

Darn Lancelot with his blue eyes and French accent.

Richard Harris was a genius <3

  • Wow. Richard Harris can sing. I really love this. I can't wait to see this play. Im so excited.

  • Richard Harris back then looks nothing like he did when he played Dumbledore in Harry Potter and the sorcerer's stone.

  • @squareboy889 That's because he was only 36 here.

  • This song in particular makes me miss Richard Burton.

  • @GreatDarkSpot Burton couldn't sing either.

  • I agree, this is a very good video and thank you for sharing it to me!

  • It seems a bit overacted.... but its fun

  • I loved Richard Harris in this movie and so much more handsome than Lancelot!

  • LOVE IT !!!!!! Saw the movie when it first came out. Great song. Know all the words to all the songs, Such a great era.

  • LOVED THIS MOVIE ! Loved Richard Harris. Lancelot was SUCH a sap !

  • I so love this............

  • Is it funny to anyone else that he is wearing gray eyeshadow?

I love this song! The movie is not my favorite, but meh.

  • LOL, it is funny, but for some reason I

(a straight woman) find men in eyeshadow or eyeliner sexy. Strange, I guess, but I do know a couple others who think the same thing! I love Richard Harris in this role!

  • Oh yes I think the same about eyeshadow and eyeliner on men.

  • I think the director must have asked him to do that "talk singing" some of the time, because when he does actually sing he has a very nice voice. Have you ever heard of the number one song, MacArthur Park, which Richard sang? He was widely praised for it.

  • Maybe he would have been able to sing a little if he hadn't been a chain smoking alcoholic?

  • I love this movie. And he is very handsome.XD And such a great voice.

  • Richard Burton performed this on Broadway with Julie Andrews Also Roddy Mcdowell played Modred with an excellent so called "The Seven Deadly Virtues" . It didn't appear in the movie verison

  • I thought that was Richard Burton and not Richard Harris

  • God bless Richard Harris.

  • I LOVE THIS FILM XD!!!!!

  • Richard Harris just has the most beautifully expressive face. He's never ever boring and just keeps you completely enraptured in his performance.

One of my absolutely favorite actors from one of my favorite musicals. ++

  • Agreed! I just saw Camelot and fell in love with his portrayal of Arthur. He is so expressive and just possesses a quality I can't describe, but he seems so kind and true.

  • lol "he's wishinghe were in scotland...fishing tonight!"

  • Critics called this movie overacted. I see an actor who is thoroughly enjoying his own performance and a slightly unorthodox, expressive character. I'd like to know what so unnatural about this that the critics have to beat it down. This is pretty much how I'm acting when I'm on my own sometimes, just goofing around.

  • What's so great about this musical is they were all singing while this was being recorded. So this is his voice 100%. There was no lip singing or recording ahead of time. Each person in the musical had to sing right there and then as the movie was being shot. WONDERFUL work!

  • I was thought Franco Nero was dubbed...

  • And You were right: The singing voice of Lancelot du Lac belongs to Gene Merlino !

  • @showtoons1239

(someone asked me to prove this fact)

"Richard Harris disliked having to wear a wig and heavy eye shadow as King Arthur. He also annoyed producer Jack L. Warner by insisting on singing the musical numbers live rather than miming.

Found at: IMDb under Camelot (1967)

  • BRAVO !!!!!!!

  • how much do i miss richard harris?

    SO MUCH

the man was his own GOD

  • The Answer: Guenevere.

  • i am sure you are right ! funny !

  • i loved this movie til the lancelot part lol

  • I watched this movie in school, it was really sad that Arthur was betrayed like that.

This was my favorite song in the whole movie.

  • I couldn't help but feel sorry for all three of the main characters. Both lancelot and guinevere really loved Arthur, but they loved each other more. It'd be a horrible position to be in. Richard Harris was brilliant in this. :)

  • Harris-to me-is the only likeable actor in this movie for me, besides Peninore. Lancelot is way to pompous for me. It wadn't until I saw the show live and saw a GOOD actor play Lancelot that I learned to like the character.

  • i thought lancelot pegged it pretty well, tho i assumed they didn't want you to like lancelot in this production. your sympathies are supposed to be with king arthur.

  • @arin721 its kinda ironic but nero's Lancelot is the only Lancelot I like. I always found other Lancelot's humility to be very annoying, it was refreshing to have a Lancelot to finally be like "No you dont even understand how utterly awesome I am."

  • Yeah, i totally agree, though i have yet to see someone likable play Lance. Guenivere's pretty cool in the beginning though. I wish they would make a new one, but then again, i don't because i love richard harris in this movie, and he's dead!

  • @Camalot777 Franco Nero is a good actor, that was the character. That's how Lancelot was SUPPOSED to be.

  • I just realized this guy played Oliver Cranwell too.

  • You mean Oliver 'Cromwell'?

  • yep DEFINATELY Richard Harris!!! still thanx for posting - love this film so much!

  • I love this scene! This movie! Richard Harris!

  • LOL, it is. i always confuse the two names. that richard burton was in the original broadway cast doesn't help :|

  • @arin721 Harris also played him on Broadway in the 80's when Burton's health made it impossible to continue.

  • @arin721 Yes, he was the original on Broadway with Robert Goulet and Julie Andrews. He's amazing, but Richard Harris brought something so much more intimate and human to Arthur.

  • @moodygrl66 I, too love this scene! This movie! And of-course Wonderful Richard Harris..forever xxx
