Of all of the videos on the internet, this is my all time favorite. The couple gets down!!!! I have watched this video over and over again for nearly a year!!! I aspire to dance, chicago step, to find a partner to dance with.

From what I remember, this couple didnt make it out of the prelims. Steppin is cool dance but its too much of a populaity cotest. Especially in Chicago.

The dancers you're watching are ballroomers, salsa, tango, marangue, you see many ballroom moves mixed into the Dtroit idea of stepping, it dose'nt make their dance stepping but a fusion of two dances. While our goal is to maintain the purity of stepping and not allow it to become diluted by or incorporated into ballroom which Dtroit keeps trying to sneak in. In the WLSC we have a sec for out of towners to ballroom its entertaining but in Chi we we step.

This dance looks so beautiful. They just flow together. I want me and my husband to take a class. It reminds me of the way people use to dance in the 40's and 50's classy. Very classy.

I could not figure what they were during at the start & almost stop watching. It was a good dance! So, I watched a 2nd time and noticed some hustle figures & footwork done by the lady. For Chicago style scoring I would take points off.

Rhythm distinguishes the dances and gives them their unique personalities. Staying 'on the beat' or on rhythm allows for better partnering and the ability to progress to more interesting and intricate movements. In essence, keeping good rhythm is 'key' without it dancing becomes labored and a chore especially for the person following.
