In your opinion, do you think a set of 4 or 6 of these up on a 15 foot tripod could illuminate 2 podiums at about 75 to 100 feet across a ballroom? I have a setup that needs stage lighting for two presenters, but the stand has to be stationed at the back of the room... I don't need to wash the stage, just the presenters themselves.
@1ABCMIKE thanks for the reply! do you think it would not work well because of the output or because of the beam angle? just curious.. What if I could get the 4 of them within 50 feet of the presenters? Cost is not an issue, I just don't want a huge followspot at the back of the room. Do you think 1 chauvet followspot 75 would do the trick then?
Mike, I am interested in purchasing this light but I would like to use it as a white spotlight/followlight for dances but I would like to know if it is wide enough to surround a couple slow dancing together. What is the widest spotlight diameter you can create with this light? Also how far back do you have to be to get that diameter? Thanks in advance!
The light comes with 2 different lenses -VERY NARROW, MEDIUM & if you completely remove the lenses, you'll have a wide beam of light.
If the room is dark, you'll get a real good sharp beam of light around a couple - @ (about) 15 to 20 feet away.
I don't think you could get them from head to toe, but, I have had a lot of great comments about DJ's using the light just for the Couples first dance!
@1ABCMIKE Thanks Mike for answering my question. I think I will be putting this light on my shopping list. The 2/4 channel chaser looks pretty nice with 4 of these so I might be doing some shopping in the near future.
Hi, Mike! Didn't you say in your last contest that you were going to have a contest at the beginning of the year, or in a couple of weeks?
Jw.

@digitalphantoms No, I do not think that will work very well.. You really need a Real Followspot light... Thanks, Mike
