  • very nice!!so you eliminated the fan clutch and fan and installed an electric fan?

  • can anybody tell me which engine bolts up to a 58 edsel?i want to put a 300 but might be a bit too long.my engine bay measures 36..if i decide on the 300 i would have to remove the fan and clutch and install and electric fan.

  • That's a sweet sounding 300. Very crisp throttle response. Nice!

  • That's pretty cool. It's nice to see something a little different. I'd like to see what a falcon would do with that engine.

  • The crank to cam is through gears not a chain .. ONE LESS THING TO GO WRONG LOVE EM .

  • The builder, JMS racing engines, put it on the Dyno right after they build it.

  • Cool silver stars on the dashboard. Typical of the 1950's.

  • love the motor man. i have a 79 f-150 4x4 with a 300w/ 4spd granny. Swapped it for a 460 w/c-6. worst mistake i ever made thats why i'm doing an unswap.

thank the Lord for the inline ford.

  • Whats it run in the 1/4? Mine ran 14.9 at 91 MPH with a 3.08 and granny 4 speed.

  • I love how easily it starts, and I love the idle note..

  • goddamn that thing is amazing. I'd imagine this thing at the drag strip is a monster. That is if you drag it of course.

Also, how much went into the motor? These old i6's aren't exactly budget builds.

  • The intake manifold is only 175 at Summit Racing, a set of Headman longtubes is only 199, a nice cam is under 250, and with those parts alone you can throw 350-400FT LBs down.

The machine work was probably quite expensive, tho, and especially the balancing. Still, no more expensive than building up a 302 to the same degree.

  • Summit Racing? And here I thought only Classic Inlines was the only producer of Ford Six products.

  • You'd think that would be a V8 if you just heard the sound of it.

  • tanks !!!

    ColonelFlashman

  • el motor del ford siempre va a ser el mejor

  • Translation; the ford motor is always going to be the best.

    You betcha red ryder!

  • Runs so smooth, starts easy as hell, sounds badass. :D

  • i had no idea mercury made a truck.

  • Ford-Mercury of Canada manufactured MERCURY Trucks from 1946-1968.

  • 300 six is my favorite moter! You have good taste my friend!

  • put a turbo on it lol.......iv always wanted to do that with mine..........haha

  • If the engine was Stock I could, but not now w/ all the Mods & Up-Grades that were done to it.

  • Well if i had money, I'd tell ya what I'd do, I'd go downtown to buy a Mercury or two. Crazy bout a Mercury! Yes I'm crazy bout a Mercury, I'm gonna buy me a Mercury and cruise it up and down the road.

  • my dad had a 66 f250 with a 300 straight 6. it was a good truck

  • may god bless you eternally for your kindness towards the I6, few of them are given a chance to show their full potential and you have given one that chance!

  • should get a drive by vid

  • how do u like that msd 6a box? did u try running it without the msd?

  • I wouldn't run the Olde Girl w/o one.

  • @ColonelSirHFlashman why couldn't you run it without the MSD box?

  • @snowman4839

Didn't state that I "couldn't", I stated I "wouldn't". Big difference. W/o the MSD box the engine wouldn't Start, nor Run as Efficiently as it does w/ it.

  • @ColonelSirHFlashman oh sorry. I read it wrong. alrighty then

  • WOW!!! I didnt know they made so many parts for that motor. What website do u use??

  • I want your motor.

  • Great looking and sounding truck.

  • nice your exhaust and engine sounds coOL!

  • plus whered u get that header from?

  • a UPS mechanic in New Mexico.

  • do u got the website for it can you give it to me plz i wanna get me one of those

  • man that is awsome i got a 300 six in my 68 mercury 100 does a holley truckavenger carb fit on a offenhouser c series manifold?

  • To my knowledge it's a bolt on.

  • Ware can i get one for my 300 F150?!

  • Where one what, specifically?

  • a 300 engine like that

  • JMS: Racing Engine out of El Monte, California built it for me. You can find them on the Net.

  • thanks

  • very nice

  • Sweet truck!

Dood... you gotta polish the ribs on that valve cover! The Clifford/Offys just don't look right otherwise!

  • Duuudddeee, I painted the engine to be the same as the Originals were from the Factory in 1958. And unless Offenhauser just started making valve covers for the 300 I-6, I've scoured the planet & haven't located one yet, plus it's not listed in the Offenhauser Catalog.

  • Huh. Must be the older Fords they make 'em for? I've got an Offy cover on the GM six in my Olds. Tried Clifford Performance yet? They have some very nice (although, pricey) look-alikes. Quick peek through Inliner's International link page might be worthwhile, as well.

Still say you ought to polish those valve cover ribs! :p

  • Gorgeous beyond words. Oh my...

  • sweet truck and sweet 300 come look at my 300

    i have vid on here

  • Funny this is, I found your Vids long before I put mine own up.

  • 300 H.P. @ 4600 rpm & 400 F.T.P. @ 3200 rpm w/ a 9.5-1 C.R., Melling Torque Cam, 15.5 mpg, Melling Torque Cam, 3.70 Rear Gears. If you look @ the Upper right Hand Coner that has "Subscribe to ColonelSirHFlashman", you'll see this, "Built '65-'72 series 300c.i. (312c.i....(more). Click on "More" & you'll expose a complete description of what my build is.

  • That thing sounds awesome. Post a video of that thing completely destroying some rubbar, man! I know yours can if mine, which is box stock, 195,000 miles worn out, can.

  • Thank'ee kindly! Only if you are willing to replace my tires for me afterwords. lol

As the wife would not be real pleased if I had to purchase another set so soon.

  • lol, I need to put some on mine too. :\ One too many powderings gave me a slick on the right rear.

  • Sounds good! How's the power? How's the mileage? What cam, and rear end gears?

  • thats a really clean motor, i have an 94 EFI straight six with an accel ignition, k&n intake, helix throttle spacer and flowmaster 40 series exhaust, those motors are sooo torquey
