The strumming pattern is difficult for me, but if you guys can't see his finger placement for the chords, use Ultimate Guitar. They help out a lot with chords. As for the video, it helped me out a lot. (: Thank you.

i might just be challenged when it comes to strumming... but when you showed the pattern it was down, up, down and were you palm muting or something on the last down strum? because it has a different sound.
