This is so beautiful, but the part that always gets me is just how in love Lee is with Coco. The way he looks at her...it really stays with you. Not resolving this story in any way is my #1 complaint with the movie. I watched for them, not Doris or Ralph and their angst. Poor Coco :(

The original is really better. The newer version has no touch at all. This is a sentimental song about an uncertain moment. The last movie lost the very point of the words. The actress goes high and tries to go higher. Irene has much more power and range but she chooses to be gentile and choose when to use her power for emotional effect. If all it took was high notes and loud singing all anyone would need is a loudspeaker to be good. This song shows her skills and it works perfect in the movie.
