@eliasz0002 Probably Due to the Fact that When They Were in Soul Society They Were Considered enemies and The Shinigami have only one goal: to Kill those Enemies. But AFTER They Realized that ichigo SAVED soul society by doing what he did they became friends and Ishida probably understood that too "he tried to kill me because i was his Enemy"

You can see in the start mayuri is just fucking around i mean he is dodging arrows standing still lol and just flinging some weapon he made at him beating a quincy in a ranged fight lol.. the only reason ishida hurt him.. and i say hurt not win because in the end mayuri got away and he would of died w/o the help of mayuri VC.. is because he wasted all his power to beat him and with that power he would of beat most captains... but ya in the end mayuri won and is 100 of years ahead in strength.

This fight is pretty much what got me watching Bleach. I started from the first episode on adult swim, and then kinda stopped watching it for a while, but damn this gets to be one interesting show. Mayuri is awesome, he has a stupid looking Bankai but at least its useful (after all isn't that what really matters)

His/her Shikai would be a bow, but, unlike Quincy bows, it would have the same effect as a Zampakutou would on Hollows (purification, so to speak), instead of completely erasing the soul.

You actually see Mayuri's human side. He has blue hair, and is a human. It's a scene of him getting out of a pool or jicuzi or something.

So, I can only guess his ear thing is apart of his suit.

In the manga, his ear is gone, something is sewn in its place his chin also has stitches. Other than that, he's not too bad looking. He IS an SOB though. His relationship w/ his 'daughter' gets pretty weird...
