N900 runs on a costumized linux... linux isnt a gaming os. its made to be stable and run for example servers :)

tho there are better free games for the N900, you can find them all in the application manager. like

angry birds, bounce, kroll, openTTD, tuxrace, Xmoto, warcraft 2, quake 3, wolfenstein 3D, and more.

after overclocking it can play console games of N64 and PSX and older

if you want to play java games, install MicroEmulator

download ExttraDecoding Support to watch .mkv's (720&1080p)

@lordofthearena defenetly nokia, i was thinking about getting the iphone 4, the i found the nokia n900. hmm which one should i choose, nokia is 700€ cheaper and has twice as much memory, and like you said, "apps that you can actually use for something". not a hard question to answer i guess :P

wow bounce sure has changed a lot over the past 6-7 years! Its no more about finding all the hoops and avoiding spikes! I think i preferred the gameplay of the older one.

How does the iPhone UI look on TV out? Oh, I forgot, no UI on the iPhone over TV out. Only video playback.

Also, Those quality 3 megapixel iPhone pics look great in the dark with that brilliant flash you guys got. Nothing like the N900's 5 Megapixel camera, VGA and 800x480 video, front facing camera, Dual LED flash and CARL ZEISS lens.

Iphone's games kill the N900 in terms of gameplay, easier controls, more responsive screen and better graphics even though they use the same processor.

Iphone does not need to come with pre loaded games, just simply hit app store button and you will find hundreds if not thousands of games to put on your phone.. Whereas the nokia phones need preloaded boring games cus there app store dont have squat. Lets hope the N900 does get some killer apps to rival that of Apple. : )

Oh for heavens sake - let me explain in simple terms why you shouldn't compare the iSheep with this- theoretically you can get a developer to write an iPhone emulator, which would make use of all the apps on iphone. There are already SNES, PS1 and Quake 3 emulators out, and that's before launch

No idea about T-mobile, but if anybody is looking for a gaming machine purely, don't expect this or the iphone for that matter to be able to compete with the PSP or Nintendo - they just don't have the controls for serious gaming. The N900 is an open ended netbook which will allow enthusiasts to convert many games and apps for it, but it won't be as mainstream gamingwise as the iphone. Thank heavens...

Hi, i dont own an iphone. However, regardless of the screen resolution, the iphone is still a big hit, sold lots of handsets, has a ton of apps and is more user friendly. Now i am waiting for the N900 to come out to see how good it is and then i will make up my mind as to which phone to go for..

I don't fall for all the media crap. However, i have played with the phone and the UI is alot better than what any other phone as to offer to date. Now lets see how good the N900 is in comparison to the Iphone. Should be interesting to see what happens..

It´s kinda weird your Bounce was going slow... When I tried N900 it had no problems at all.

Nice device. I love the browser and the 800/480 screen. Great to watch videos (supports f.e. avi & divx).

And no viruses ever because it´s a real Linux :D
