  • Lovely composition.....:-)

  • Thank you.

  • Very nice!!!........

  • for tina?

    hmmm =XXX

    kidding, nice song

  • Yes. Tina is the Moogirl.

  • its very beatifull work

  • Thank you.

  • This is a nice homage and a clever use of screen capture using the visuals on Cubase. It is similar to the video of an audio track on film: Interesting and informative. Well done.

  • I use Fruity Loops a lot. Its has a piano roll alot like this. not bad at all!

  • were do you get this program and how much is it?

  • It's a beautiful piece, good work!

How do you setup Cubase to display different notes in different colors?

  • there is a little velocity/pitch thing up the top.

it comes in handy to colour code pitch when you use alot of notes, let me tell you!

Pardon my not getting back to you sooner, mate.

  • Yes, that is handy!

    Thanks.

  • another five stars, by the way, i borned the same day that Tina´s famous "grandfather" did, i discovered it today, hehe.

  • Beautiful!

  • Thank you twice!

  • Beautiful!

  • wow this song is very good. what a nice program to have on your computer. are you published composer?

  • awesome--wish i could play like that; another 5 stars.

  • I wish I could play like that, too! :D

  • Hi Matthew!

First of all, thanks a lot for the invite! :)

This is the 1st video of yours that i checked and I really liked it. Btw, did you use a keyboard for this or just pure software? If pure software then... wow... you really did put much effort on this song... and it's great. 5stars from Malaysia! I'll be checking your other vids.

    Eric Juman

  • Pure software, mate! I wish I could play a keyboard like that, but I'm not at that level just yet. I'm getting there, though!

    Thanks, Eric.

  • Wow, that's awesome. I would probably had given up on the velocity part :D

  • sounds very restful, sends me into a pleasant dozing :)

  • Sorry about that. :p

  • Simple, but great !

... I should say that what I like in this music is the simplicity... the right notes at the right place

  • I know what you mean, mate. I've been relearning Bach's Italian concerto, and I can't believe how utterly unremarkable the score is relative to the feeling it gives the listener.

    Maybe that's the secret! :D

  • By the way, some serious care there with the velocity of each note. That must've been a tedious process, heheh.

  • I take as long as I need, as the end result is the most important thing. I want to create a realistic and enjoyable tone with my computery midi files!

  • Curious, what screen recorder did you use for this vid? Those zoom functions seem handy; and can you customize the zoom boxes' size and position?

  • I believe it was Camtasia 4 or 5. It's an awesome program, and available quite easily. ;)

  • Good work, I will sub!

By the way I saw you were using the try before you buy version of Cubase and I was wondering if you could tell me what the limitations are of the free version or the advantages of the payed for version.

  • It's exactly the same. But the version I have is quite old.... had, I should say. My puter took a bit of a tumble and I'm currently without my music box!

  • what did she say?

  • She's a woman of few words unless she's upset about something, so not much at the time. :D

When we broke up we had a big fight via text message. She said I must have never loved her, so I then asked her if she could deny the proof of my love for her in "Promise". I then dared her to delete the mp3 from her pc and tear up the sheet music if she actually believed such a thing.

Her reply was "Never!" of course.

  • Very nice original composition!

  • i like it

  • Nice, I use Cubase too. Did you record this with a MIDI-keyboard or you did it all in Cubase? I tried hooking up my keyboard to Cubase through a USB-MIDI interface but it was really bad: lots of missing notes, delay, etc. So I just connect it by a simple audio cable.

  • I wrote the score in Sibelius, and then imported the midi file into Cubase. I don't play midi keyboards through Cubase. I just edit midi files in them.

  • Beautiful!

  • Wow... you are very talented!! This sounds fabulous =). Why don't you sing to it? I was missing the vocals a little bit though it also works without...

  • A lovely relaxing piece of music. And also quite inspirational for a beginner like me :)

  • It's a very simple piece, and was easy to write. Wrote it for my GF while she was making Christmas lunch.

  • Very very nice!

  • I have a friend, who goes by "PrismLightWave"; you may like the music there. It's stylistically similar at times.

Interesting that this was in the "Related Videos" for one of my compositions, "Terra".

  • Very nice original composition!

  • It's really cool. Only the end is a bit weird but still lovely.

You should really add some more instruments and drums, that would be great!

  • Thanks for sharing.Very Nice.

  • the try before you buy intro was crazy ahaha. very nice piece.. thanks for the invite!

  • wow this is nice :) i'm impressed... you have alot of talent :P

  • hello!!! What you make is really pretty!

  • Thanks!

  • yes, that´s really nice and also sth. new!

    greetz from germany

    Jonas

  • Thank you.

  • awesome composition

    you rock

  • Thanks again, mate. I hope you do a few more "of those early Metallicas. IMO "....and justice for all is screaming out for someone to do a total piano transcription of it.

  • Very cool, Jaya!! Thanks for posting and thanx for dropping by... RPC (Novena Boy)

  • That was good..I like instrumentals,

  • Very beautiful.

  • Yes, she is! >:oD

  • Really nice !! Thank you !

  • sounds awesome!

  • I love the build up at the end. Really, really nice! There wasn't really a part in it I didn't like. As a suggestion if you want more people to watch this and check out your song you shouldn't have to let them wait a whole minute before it gets to play the song. Some people we'll just move on to another video with out even getting a chance to hear it :/

So you do you play piano, keyboard or computer piano?

  • Yes, "making them wait" was also something I was concerned with. I just wanted to show people how I make my midi files sound like real instruments.

I play real piano, but I have keyboards all over the house!

  • wow! its so nice,. i wish i could play piano too, i love your music

  • Thank you! :o)

  • Real cool.. Love the build up and the overall melody. Keep up the good work!!!

  • It's not too often I hammer out a piece this heartfelt! Thanks, mate. I hope you enjoy all of my works.

  • Wow! That's really pretty! You wrote that? Or is it a real song?

  • It's a real song that I wrote. :op

  • Lol. I meant like a song someone else wrote :P Sorry, worded that wrong XD

  • I wrote it.

  • It's very pretty ^-^

  • You're piano piece is all I love, simple and beautiful.

  • I'm glad you enjoy it. I hope you keep in touch.

  • Do you write the polyphonic music or your computer does?

If you did it 5 stars and it sounds like a modern Bach!

    Laura

  • I wrote this piece, but I didn't play it THAT perfectly of course!

I'm learning it on piano right now. It's pretty hard, though it's quite a simple piece, harmonically.

  • good work man!

  • Pretty music, the name sounds like the one my love wrote for me called Forever, he did it with vocals though. I like this tune, I listened to it when I wrote in my journal this evening. How did you find me anyways?

  • That was great! 5/5

  • Thanks! Thanks everybody!
