A great song but I have an issue: people with pots of money are seen by some as the reason some have so little. Bono is one of Ireland's richest men: private jets, hotel suites so expensive that numerous families in Africa could eat for a year for what the suite cost for a night,and for him to then talk of their sad plight, is rather ridiculous. Him moving U2's business affairs from Ireland to Holland last year to avoid paying tax then talking of how wrong it is that the poor are poor is absurd!

I am in awe of Bonos mind and spirit. I sit in a small apartment in Wisconsin and wish that I could share philosphy with others. No one would care what I would say-so I am very pleased that Bono can speak (and sing) for me. We are blessed to have hope.

A great song but I have an issue: people with pots of money are seen by some as the reason some have so little. Bono is one of Ireland's richest men: private jets, hotel suites so expensive that numerous families in Africa could eat for a year for what the suite cost for a night,and for him to then talk of their sad plight, is rather ridiculous. Him moving U2's business affairs from Ireland to Holland last year to avoid paying tax then talking of how wrong it is that the poor are poor is absurd!

U2 didn't move their whole business to the Netherlands, just the royalties! Think about how many taxes U2/Bono have/has to pay, everyone here would do the same, don't act as if you all wouldn't. And you know what? As far as I know, the Netherlands give a higher percentage of their BIP to Africa than Ireland does.

Yes you are right. This pinky ring shows up in photos. He has two different ones in photos. This one seems to show up a lot after he Dad's passing. I always wondered if it was his Dad's. Interesting observation with Bono. Itis as if he has to talk about what is going on in his heart or he will burst. There is some very clear behaviors that are classic of high intelligence.

I love U2 because they can make one hell of a record and its not just a bunch of crap spewed over great music, Bono, you are a phenominal writer and singer, I love the words to Wave Of Sorrow but the music is just OK. In the name of love, New years day, Sunday Bloody Sunday are songs that have alot to say and the music is slamming. You follow your gut but I'm thinking remix.

they should perform more of their songs on stage more often. Ultraviolet is one of the best songs ever written, ditto Acrobat, but they don't perform them enough. and i agree with joanna (btw- HEWSON any relation?!)he comes from a pretty humble background, and i have infinite respect for people who make their own blazing trail and inspire others to do the same.

He has gone to the President about this. As far as I know, he's talked to the last two presidents about Africa. However, Congress is so self-centered that it won't do all it can to help ease the suffering of the poor. I've researched this issue and there is so much that needs to be done and so many people are trying to help, but we need real government backing. And is it so terrible to enjoy his success? He shouldn't need to become homeless. Would you?
