  • doug aldrich nice........

  • wow! ronnie james looked alike a long haired steve carrell! on the other hand they both have italian blood...

  • ‎1945, Adolf Hilter died and went to Hell. Satan asked, "why are you in Hell?" He replied, "I am responsible for the massacre of millions" Satan said, "well done, sit to the right of my throne." 1953, Joseph Stalin died and went to Hell. Satan asked, "why are you in Hell?" He replied "I killed millions to stay in power" Satan said "good, sit to my left" 2010, Ronnie James Dio died and went to Hell, Satan asked, "why are you in Hell?" Dio replied, "Bitch, get the fuck off my throne!"

  • they should have done the full keyboard intro, thats a major part of this song,

  • good live coverage from a awesome song.

  • Great Ronnie, fantastic! But Doug Aldrich... go to hell!

  • Ronnie..byłeś,jesteś i zawsze będziesz dla mnie kimś wyjątkowym !!!!!

  • excellent rendition of the original from " Rising " ....... thanks for the post.

  • These old Rainbow songs just keep kicking ass. Unfortunately we don´t have Dio´s kind of metal persons amongst us anymore. And listen up people that is a big lost. R.I.P Ronnie

  • DIO..awesome metal voice...the best... rockon till the end of the world. Dio never diexD

  • i used to play this day and night in my bedroom, when I was a kid,, in th e80"

  • doug aldrich is the very best of randy, zakk and vivian all rolled into one.

  • conforme pase el tiempo vamos a echar cada vez de menos al gran maese Ronnie..!

  • Blackmore`s version is much better!!

But Dio is great here as usually!!

  • metal god \m/

  • You know Ronnie was not into drugs at all, but I am wondering if he got cancer from those old metal beer stines he use to drink from. God, his death is not something I saw coming. He is sorely missed.

  • @diamonddust22 actually Dio smoked pot, but that can't give you cancer really. Cancer is a bitch, anyone can get it, and he is indeed sorely missed, I can't even listen to some of his softer stuff still

  • @Ozzypossumisback I think the pot gave him his raunch. You'll find that singers that have raunch, usually smoke pot, cigarettes, or they are just vocally exhausted and in that case the raunch doesn't last. I don't do any drug at all and have a very smooth voice, and it's hard to get any sort of raunch. Yeah, dio is sorely missed for sure. He was a master singer.

  • @diamonddust22 kinda, cigarettes are pretty terrible for one's voice in general. Pot can be ok because it's natural, but if you smoke enough to where you get cotton mouth from it, you're fucked hahaha. I can definitely see Dio getting his raunch from the herb though to some degree. God, why did Diohave to die? why not anyone else

  • @Ozzypossumisback Dio is no longer amongst us earthly beings. Dio takes his place where he belongs, he is now truly amongst the stars and the mystical places we can only dream about.

  • @diamonddust22 i think hes probly chillin in hell with demons n shit

  • @NoatallicA Sounds like a good idea

  • @diamonddust22 / Actually Ronnie loved to smoking pot. Joey Belladono of Anthrax and Bruce Dickinson talked about several times.

  • @TheLedZeppelin79 yes Rudy on bass,.."Holy Diver-live' dvd / cd, 2005

  • Awsome DIO, God I miss U :-(

  • God if i miss Ronnie!

  • Reckon he's up there having a pint and a laugh with Cozy. What a man!

  • With Man On The Silver Montain my favorite Rainbow song

  • What a pity we don't have a live version of this song by Rainbow. :-(

    One of their best songs.

  • He is with the great band in sky Cozy is there Hendrix man one day we will check that great gig in the sky

  • RIP! my hero...

  • Awesome version, but how come he never did this on stage when Jimmy Bain was in the band?

  • ronnie came on stage and made everyone happy

He was always there for his fans

    thx ronnie

  • Well face it Radius, Jackson's more popular because of the Jackson 5. This I remember back from the 1970s. You're rifght about the news. I had read it. Jackson was all over the news. Dio has a much better voice, and his music's quite different from Jackson. Besides, who cares, we don't have to listen to any Jackson!

  • After Michael Jacksons death, they went on about it on the news for ages all around the world.

After Ronnie James Dio's death, I didnt even hear about it on the news...

What a shame pop has taken over the media. Long live metal!

  • I respect MJ, but you're right

  • @Raudius Actually I think keeping metal underground it's better :)

  • @Raudius I agree! Totally! I'm not so good in english so I take it in swedish. ...

  • @Raudius

I think that's why the heavy metal style continues in a hi standard quality. They don't care about how many cds will be sold, they just care about doing heavy metal songs and doing it for those who like it.

  • @Raudius And what's far worse - no one seems to care about Cozy.

  • @Raudius They were both great.

  • @Raudius Pop has not taken over the media. The media is owned and controlled and they produce pop and don't give you any choice. It's pop because that's all they'll ever play. Turn off the TV and the radio.

  • Thanks for everything DIo..You whre like a brother!!!!!!!!!Malta!

  • R.I.P Ronnie

thank oyu for all the music m8

    Greece

  • This is the best voice in ROCK . You can hear every word he sings and what vocal POWER

  • how can he RIP in hell where there is no peace??

  • R U sure ?

  • @Romchikthelemon sure, give it a test... you dont even need flames for that one...just fill the tub up with scalding water and go lay in it... try to rest.

  • Dio in Heaven, this is no doubt

  • @Romchikthelemon oh? no doubt? well all it takes is for him to recieve the gift of pardon ...did he do that? when?

  • He he, I am not interested to overpersuade u. Everyone solves for himself

  • you are the best ronnie

    we love you all

    thx for all

  • @BIFFBRUCE oh, he is not done yet!

  • RIR \m/\m/

    Cleveland, USA

  • the man got better with age...amazing voice and presence, my prayers go out to Wendy and their family..God bless Dio!

  • @hannababalon The amazing thing about this performance is - Ronnie was actually sick that night in London and his voice not 100%. Even so Ronnie sounds phenomenal and he didn't overdub his vocals in the studio for the DVD release.

  • Dio...God bless your soul up there the way He blessed your voice down here...

  • I was fortunate enough to see him LIVE 3 times... all were amazing!!! God Bless Ronnie!! You're "The Man on the Silver Mountain"!

  • que temasso por diossssssssssssssss uno de los mjeores de rainbow¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡te extrañaremos mucho DIO.

  • RONNIE JAMES DIO R.I.P. "¡Siempre en nuestros corazones!"

  • Siempre estarás vivo en nuestros corazones. Gracias amigo.

  • RIP DIO :(

  • forever missed.we lost a metal godfather 4 sure.his music will live for a life time...

  • The man, the voice, the legend!

  • today i'm only listen to DIO only!!!!

  • DIO will always live on........

  • RIP Dio.... metal god

  • damn RIP

  • R.I.P Ronnie :(

  • DEP

Me he quedao con las ganas de verte en directo :(

    Larga vida al metal! |,,/

  • R.I.P. Ronnie

  • Rainbow - Rising, on for the evening I think. RIP Ronnie, your music will live forever

  • For any youngster out there that just stumbled into this song....do yourself a huge favor save your chicklets and go and purchase RAINBOW RISING. Among the greatest masterpieces ever recorded in rock. It will shape the way you think about music for years to come as it did for me and many others. There is no filler in that album every song is better than the next,

  • As of this minute, 11 people gave the thumbs down to this video. Umm - are they watching the same one I am?

  • Classic Dio....Classic Metal.

  • I think he said ,she can take you there, the answer to your prayer, I believe that is what he,s saying .

  • belle version, meme si l 'ombre de BLACKMORE plane sur ce morceau!! merci dio pour nous faire vivre tout ca!! et reste en vie, please !!! si tu le peux..

  • if cozy didnt die dio and blackmore would made a rainbow reunion back in 1998 but after cozys death they decided to cancel it what a shame it is both things

  • Prayers are with you Ronnie!!! Have Faith! Get Well! Continue to Rock The World!

  • I always thought he was saying : "she can take you there- the entrance to the fair". Now i learn 34 years later I have been hearing it wrong. What a fool i have been.

  • @wonderfulhuman161

In this version he is singing, "she can take you there-the answer to your prayer...". While on "Rising" he sings, "she can take you there-the entrance to the fair..."

  • @civitatuspoena Thanks for straightening me out.- of all the things I've lost I miss my mind the most. It's great either way!

  • Dio is just a LEGEND! The voice of Fantasy Metal. may he KILL HIS DRAGONS!

  • YEAH!!! i agreee!!!!

  • Dio is just a LEGEND! The voice of Heavy metal!

  • 3.07 yeah!!!!

  • Gee, this man still has an awesome voice. May he rock on till the end of time!

  • @immerrocknroll

    he's rocking heaven & hell right now :) \m/

  • @immerrocknroll Unfortunately, he Will not. R.I.P RJD! He was a True legend! Rock On!

  • This was the first time I saw Ronnie With Rainbow " Rising" Tour,I was Hooked! Get Better Ronnie! We Need Ya!!

  • I love this video, it,s amazing and has a wonderful beat to it .Thank you for this awesome and great video, and I do love it.

  • No matter who the guitarist is , It's still Dio who rocks the most, btw.... they'll never be as good as TMIB! lol!

  • Everyone except Dio have big shoes to fill... They're all excellent musicians, but when you have a legendary Cozy Powell on drums, Tony Carrey on Keyboards, Jimmy Bain on Bass and Ritchie Blackmore on guitars... It's not an easy job to make this sound as good as it should. Anyway, the guys did their best and I must say they did it well. Dio... What is there to say? Amazing as usuall. ;) I hope he beats the vrap out of that cancer! Wish you all the best Ronnie! :)

  • i may be wrong but i thought that R. Glover was bass player for rainbow.....no?

  • He also played in Rainbow. Ritchie had a strange tendation to change his bandmates like underwear :D

  • Glover joined the band later. He didn't play on the "Rising" album.

  • r glover was one of the bass players for rainbow

  • cozy powell--rip msg---i love that guy and miss him

  • I was shattered when i heard Ronnie has cancer... My mates got sick of me talking about Dio...

  • yea!

  • Doug did a great job when he played for DIO....and Rudy on bass is bad ass....drummer is sub par.....still though Ritchie traded in his guitar for a mandolin.....sadly

  • @Spuger59 True, Simon Wright is better for AC/DC that didn't demand a great drummer, but Wright trying to follow Cozy's footsteps is impossible. Kinda like me (who doesn't play drums at all) trying to be like Peart. :)

  • Typical Drummer: Can't bring the tune in at the tempo it was started!

    Storming version though.

  • No match with TMIB, sorry, btw Dio rocks!

  • True dat. It was more for Dio whose voice sounds pretty good here though, not so much for the guitar. After all even God calls Blackmore GOD. !!!!!

  • not bad, but it misses something... blackmore!

  • I agree, but have to say Doug rocks :)

  • Comment removed

  • big shoes to fill....

  • @thegoodtruth very frickin true

  • @thegoodtruth at least it's better than that talent ridden boy; Vivian with his "Boss Heavy Metal" sound. :-)

  • @thegoodtruth and the keyboard intro also!

  • @thegoodtruth doug aldrich the best guitar that plyed songs fron richie..very good performance...so richie is the best..

  • Doug plays in Whitesnake now

  • come on idk who this gutiarist is but hes really good

  • doug aldrich

  • Best Rainbow song, imo.

  • A great song the Dio and Blackmore where great song writers I would love to see them play together again..

  • \\..//

  • Doug is great too!

  • no Blackmore, no party

  • yes but this is not a rainbow show, it's ronnie's one! ;) then I agree Balckmore is a phenomenon... best guitarist ever!

  • Dio is God!

  • thats right,

  • an incredibly small god :P but ye, ur right. Dio is the hard rock God and Halford is the Metal God!

  • RONNIE JAMES DIO

  • This is my favorite Rainbow song & these guys did a really decent version of it here. Dio's vocals are OK, but the song is a pretty easy song to sing ... the keys & the guitar solo make the song IMHO.

  • dio wrote that song while he was with rainbow.

  • Is that a glass harmonica effect on the synthesizer?

  • What the f...ck in the voice of Dio??? estaba afonico?

  • turn DIO logo upside down and you got DEVIL, I know everybody knows but its clasic

  • This is from his days with Rainbow.

  • I saw him in Cowboys Bar in Calgary ..He just showed up

  • awesome got the DVD aldrich is a very good guitarplayer

  • MASSA

  • dio still has a great voice for a 66 year old

    great stuff

  • grat vid - saw this tour in Dublin, best show I've been t oin years - even if Aldrich and the keyboard player are embarrassing to look at, such posers

  • Aldrich is no poser, he just has an old school vibe, he's 45 not 22, so no big deal...

  • Dio is not a god, he is god.

  • Fuck yeah, his name is Italian for God for a reason.

  • Dio says he got his stage name from a local guy who may have been a mobster

  • Like fine wine Dio gets better with age!!!

  • Dio is the Pinot Noir above all other Merlot's.

  • Awesome! I really love Dio and Rainbow is probably my favorite Dio era because Dio and Blackmore worked so good together.
