  • Sounds kinda muddy to me. Do you have a video showing the bridge pickup on this guitar. I thought other guitars you demoed on the same amp sounded better.....Maybe it was just a bad recording? That setup has to sound much better in person...

  • Man, every time I research a guitar I find out you own one, lol. Here is a suggestion for your next acquisition if you don't already have one: a Collings 335 copy hollow-body. My dream harem would be an Anderson strat, a Suhr tele, a McNaught Lp and a Collings 335.

  • I am currently saving for a Collings I-35 :)

  • I knew it! I look forward to the post-acquisition Collings review. Also, the question may have already been asked, but what do you do for a living so that you can not only afford these beauties but also have the time to be as well practiced as you are.

  • You crack me up! And you give me more credit than I deserve. To answer your question, I am an ethical hacker when I don't pretend to be a guitar player on YouTube ;)

  • I'm lucky to own one. Phoenix Rising with the most beautiful quilted top you'll ever see. It nearly brought tears to my eyes when I saw it.

  • I stumbled on this vid while searching for David Thomas from "Pere Ubu"!

    Glad I stuck around!

    Nice guitar!

    Nice playin'!

  • Thanks, and thank God for happy incidents :)

  • McNaught guitars are incredible!!!!

  • listened to your video a couple of times. obviously different from hearing it live BUT, it doesnt sound that Les Paul-ish.. i would think it is closer to a PRS, or even Tom Anderson (HB) Cobra in sound. reminds me just a little of some muddy waters teles i have heard. some of it might be your pickless R hand technique

what is the weight like ?

Whose p-ups are in it ?

    enjoy !

    shally

  • Pickups are from Manlius. The weight is reasonable. Heavier than my Teles - obviously - but a lot lighter than the LPs I used to own.

  • nice looking guitar.. where does it fit in your spectrum of guitars ? did it replace anything ?

as a single cut with HB's the obvious questions are whether it is more like a LP or more like a PRS ?

keep posting, really high quality songs and reviews

    shally

  • I only have one guitar that kinda is in the same realm. That would be my Grosh Hollow Carve Top T. I was originally thinking about keeping one or the other, but right now I feel like keeping both :)

  • Yeah, ZZ Top through a Dr Z

This guitar kicks some $%&*§ ;-)

  • What a beautiful guitar im gonna take a look on your site now. ;)

  • Great Guitar Great Sound

  • Hi teacher pretty guitar and very lovely blues playing thanks for your job

  • another nice new guitar! congrats!

  • im just like you, i've been playing tele's since i was 14, im 25 now. and i have a les paul, and love the sound, but just cant get use to the scale. that guitar sounds and looks great though!

  • I'm a les paul player myself, and you sound awesome with this one. Perhaps better than on your teles! :P

  • I swear I heard a little bit of Parissiene Walkways. I'd love to her you play the entire song.

  • I haven't played that song in forever, but I suppose that this guitar lends itself to it quite nicely.

  • hey mojo where did you get that?

  • It was offered to me by a kind gentleman who figured that it would right up my alley... he was right :)

  • please do a pink floyd song

  • Which one?

  • I don't know....every song's good!

how about the 2nd comfortably numb solo, or have a cigar solo

  • comfturbly numb or brain damage

  • comfortably numb

  • Comfortably Numb, High Hopes please :)

  • SWEET!!!!!!
