Sounds kinda muddy to me. Do you have a video showing the bridge pickup on this guitar. I thought other guitars you demoed on the same amp sounded better.....Maybe it was just a bad recording? That setup has to sound much better in person...
Man, every time I research a guitar I find out you own one, lol. Here is a suggestion for your next acquisition if you don't already have one: a Collings 335 copy hollow-body. My dream harem would be an Anderson strat, a Suhr tele, a McNaught Lp and a Collings 335.
I knew it! I look forward to the post-acquisition Collings review. Also, the question may have already been asked, but what do you do for a living so that you can not only afford these beauties but also have the time to be as well practiced as you are.
You crack me up! And you give me more credit than I deserve. To answer your question, I am an ethical hacker when I don't pretend to be a guitar player on YouTube ;)
listened to your video a couple of times. obviously different from hearing it live BUT, it doesnt sound that Les Paul-ish.. i would think it is closer to a PRS, or even Tom Anderson (HB) Cobra in sound. reminds me just a little of some muddy waters teles i have heard. some of it might be your pickless R hand technique
I only have one guitar that kinda is in the same realm. That would be my Grosh Hollow Carve Top T. I was originally thinking about keeping one or the other, but right now I feel like keeping both :)
im just like you, i've been playing tele's since i was 14, im 25 now. and i have a les paul, and love the sound, but just cant get use to the scale. that guitar sounds and looks great though!

I'm lucky to own one. Phoenix Rising with the most beautiful quilted top you'll ever see. It nearly brought tears to my eyes when I saw it.

Pickups are from Manlius. The weight is reasonable. Heavier than my Teles - obviously - but a lot lighter than the LPs I used to own.

nice looking guitar.. where does it fit in your spectrum of guitars ? did it replace anything ?
as a single cut with HB's the obvious questions are whether it is more like a LP or more like a PRS ?
keep posting, really high quality songs and reviews

I'm a les paul player myself, and you sound awesome with this one. Perhaps better than on your teles! :P

I swear I heard a little bit of Parissiene Walkways. I'd love to her you play the entire song.

I haven't played that song in forever, but I suppose that this guitar lends itself to it quite nicely.
