in case you havent figured it out yet, the colored gems have to be obtained through certain levels. the gems in this video and the previous ones aren't gems. when you get a colored gem, you will be able to use those as platforms to go to bonus rounds

the way to get to the gems is to get through the level to them without dying and you dont get them they turn ino platforms. and also the different face you got isnt cortex its his partner n brio and if u get 3 of those its like a bonus bonus level

Crash 2 has the exact bolders and they have insane polar bear chases

Incase no one has told you yet. You have to get the colored gems in later levels of the game by getting all the boxes. Once you do get the colored gems in the later levels like 2nd and 3rd island you can go back to the early levels and then get the gems in those. Its kinda weird but thats how it works

kk about the gems, you jus thave to break all the boxes in the level, but since this game has broken save points, i wouldnt advise trying for them =)
