Alright, I'm wondering if 13...Kh8 is possibly the "losing" move. I was confused at first but then realized he was hoping to play 14...Nxd4 and 15...Qxd4. Without Kh8, Qxd4 drops the queen after Bxh7+ from white. Unfortunately this allowed you to play Be3 and the rest is history.

One thought. While Black's sac on e5 proved disastrous but what if he decided to open the center and sac at the "base" of white's pawn chain at d4 sometime earlier.

i.e. 13. b4, fxe5

14, fxe5, Nxd4

15. Nxd4, Nxe5 (Black gets 2 pawns for a piece and has crushed white's center and open file for his rook. Seems like decent compensation. Maybe?)

However, this needed to have happened before White's Bb3 as after, he has Bxd4, gaining tempo on Black queen. Seems like an idea to me. Any thoughts?

Yes, but in this case, white had the position clamped down on before Black can get in any counter play. This system seems almost too strong, lol, but there's definitely weaknesses to it so I guess it's just up to players to find them.

Haha, I don't think your opponent had seen this system before. After Ke2, your opponent seemed to have a "wtf..." moment.

Wow, seems very solid in 5m play. 2nd win against such high ratings. This system probably needs thorough understanding of theory, otherwise you probably get spanked. Must be because at certain points, there are only a very few moves that are feasible or retain any equality. Just thinking out loud here...

Btw, question: Have you looked up the theory on this KC?

Also, probably this system puts the complexity on black's side, which might explain the fact that you lost against this system, and two other high rated players lost against you. Again, just thinking out loud...
