  • How can voice and words of someone I don´t even know let the little hairs on arms and neck stand up, and make me nearly cry?

Leonard Cohen, Nick Cave and Tom Waits... the father, the son and the holy spirit.

  • This song's just beautiful. One of his finest, off one of his most under-rated albums. What beautiful imagery. What a heavy, heavy song. A genuine genius.

  • no wonder these four decided to form grinderman after playing this dreary nonsense

  • Asskissers all of you! Great artist, great band, weak song, weak vocal AND U KNOW IT!

  • Of all the dates to read, it was June 3rd as today. To be candid tomorow is the man I love's birthday and we have been separated from each other by a mental feud. I want him so badly, I clicked this link thinking of him wishfully hoping he wants me too.

  • @Tatian152 that's what she said.

  • He wants you. He is straight and he is true. Who could that be? George Bush? I doubt it. Bob Dylan? No. I'm a bit surprised that this song has not become the hit of the 21st century. I suppose the greatness of this song is that it leaves an interpretation for the listener. I love the melody too.

  • Bush and Dylan would be my first guesses.

  • lol

  • I didn't particularly like this song when I first bought Nocturama (I still think it's his weakest album), and yet, listening to it now, I realise what a beautiful haunting quality it has. Great songs sometimes take a while to grow on you. At 16 I thought Nick Cave was the best out there. At 31 I see little reason to revise that opinion.

  • @wanchope6700 You just summarized my life. :)
