  • Najee, this is so beautiful to me !!!

  • This song is so smooth, sexy, and soulful all rolled into one. I was just learning how to play the alto sax in Jr. high at the time when my bro played this song for me, and I was spellbound, and I wanted to learn how to make my sax sing just like Najee was doing on this song here. I fell in love with it instantly. The drummer is killin it, and that bass is speaking to my soul. Love it, it's a Masterpiece..

  • This jazz track is cold to the bone. The drummer is kicki'n so hard in the pocket. Najee is the man on soprano sax.

  • I know the dude who drummed this track... great guy and class drummer!

  • !!!(",)!!!

  • i'm the only guy out of all my friends that like smooth jazz and najee, i'm only 23 and people my age just don't appreciate these fine tunes, it's so sad.

  • @scorro8 Yesssssssssssss! I have always said that about jazz period...my grandfather would blast old & new jazz every Sunday from the time my grandmother left from church & until she came back home so I started out in the 70s listening and never stopped and because of it I've always believed that I was different and able to explore other things--open book.

  • Been listening to Najee since the early 90's and Tokyo Blue is by far my favorite...takes me back to some great memories and times in life.

  • This jam has gotten way more views than I would have imagined after only 3 months - my most viewed vid by far. Bravo to all of you who love it as much as I do! Of course, the whole song is masterful - but I'm especially fond of the send-away ending, starting at 3:50... such emotion... and that double snare at 4:21? t r e m e n d o u s

  • WOOOOOOOW! Man, This came out my senior year of high school(c/o 90) and I was the only cat in the whole school diggin on this album and track! LOL! The only cat diggin on smooth jazz for that fact! Takes me back to a good place. Remember learning this on bass. Awesome post! Thanks.

  • @Bigbasssix1972 haha I was 19... wasn't into jazz at all until one day, shopping in some record store in Paramus NJ, they had this song playing (was their featured promo album)... that bass riff sent me to another world - I remember listening closely with a surprised smile on my face and thumping my fingers along with the groove. Immediately asked who the artist was and what track this was - bought the cd on the spot! Peace....

  • @Bigbasssix1972 Najee can be very addicting, and this cut is MY FAVORITE on this album! Cruise Control on this album is the Bomb also!
