@Zazquatch1 Money has to be the motivating factor. I'm sure Pearcy has gone through the real dough he made in the 80's, these gigs are pure survival money. I hope he's banking some of it now, because this train sounds like it is coming to the end of the line..........real soon!!
Not Warren and totally lame. Warren owned the riff. As for saying the band sucks...yeah this one. Saw them live in south Fla. Poison opened up. Ratt , the entire band kicked ass and did a great two hour show..."Dancing Undercover" tour/ Hollywood Florida Sportatorium. Awesome band and one of the most brilliant lead guitists....Warren DeMartini.
My favorite band but Stephens voice is absolutly the worst thing since the train wreck I watch on you tube earlier !! Lol man his voice live never sounds like the cds terrible 5 thumbs down.
@Johnnytwain1 where is this info come from? all of the members have had major frustrations, but are their new developments? bobby kicks ass, but warren is my favorite!
@Johnnytwain1 Bobby deserves better. They all do really. They could be so much better without Stephen. In the studio they can make him sound good enough, but live is a whole different story. Since live is where they get most of their sales nowadays, I think its safe to say that gatting rid of him would make the entire band that much better
@TheMrAwesome17 I agree that pearcy is a lousy live performer anymore, he wasnt that great to begin with. Yes he is a studio singer for sure at best. But face it; the guy is incredibally burnt out butits HIS band, HE founded it. You dont remove the founder of something unless you are an asshole.
@MrRandycouturefan I'm not saying your wrong, but there's a documentary on Ratt, Pearcy &the late Robin Crosby are being interviewed together. Robin Crosby states the band was his project, & that he put the band together, and that Ratt is his "baby, his dream" , I don't know, thats what he stated with Pearcy sitting right beside him.
Nuthin wrong with this AT all.... good song is a good song.... They once upon a time ( and will again ) did it in front of a 100K and just did in front of a 100... still FUCKIN ROCKS !! Great bands stand the test of time.
RATT was one of the bright spots of the 80's hard rock. I started playing guitar at 17 in 1982. Back in those days we all felt self-conscience about having the chops to be able to play publically. We knew dudes would be judging our chops. Out of this we got players like Dimartini, Reb Beach, Randy Rhoads, George Lynch, Paul Gllbert and many others not coming to mind right now
Glad to see Warren Demartini still has all that fuck'n guitar talent, plus Calos Cavazo is the best re-placement for Robbin Crosby may he Rest in Peace !!! csc/10 in Lynchburg V.A. (U.S.A.)
I don't think Pearcy's voice is a "studio v live" issue ... there are lots of live clips of RATT in the 80s where Pearcy hits all the notes just fine, in key no less.
What happenned is pretty simple : Pearcy got old ( 50 now ) and his voice changed, he lost a lot of range. If you listen to the just-released single "Best Of Me" off the new Infestation album, it sounds like they deliberately wrote the tune to conform to his new limited range.
@baltostar1 All true, but this recording sucks as well. It's all disorted. He sounds better than this recording shows. I saw Ratt in 84 and 86. Can't wait to seem them almost 26 yrs later.
Pearcy was a passable singer in the old days but his voice has definitely NOT stood the test of time. Not to mention they've tuned the song DOWN a couple of octaves just to accommodate his reduced vocal range (and as a guitar / keyboard player this just sounds absolutely HORRIBLE to my ear).
Hmmm...how will they incorporate Carlos on the solo's? Ratt is styled after Warren's playing. One of the things that led Crosby to become depressed and shoot heroin. Take a back seat Carlos and enjoy the ride.
Ratt and Fucking Roll. I was lucky enough to see Ratt live at the Richmond Col. in 85, We Booded BON Jovi off the stage, Ratt will always be the King.
nothing like the 80's RATT that I saw many times. R.C. is dead unfortunately & Warren D. isn't with them here. It's a fail. I'm glad I got to see them in the 80's. Good memories.
It also depends on where the camera is placed. In some videos the audio is good while in others the audio sucks. You just gotta be in the right place. So stop giving Stephen Pearcy so much shit.
Have you ever thought that maybe the sound system sucked and not Stephen!!???? If you look at the good clips posted with good sound, you can hear Stephen much better........You Idiot!!
damn Stephen Pearcy sucks ass live. I love the concept of keeping the original lineup, but if it doesn't sound good then it doesn't sound good. They should get a new singer.
They did, Jizzy Pearl of LOVE / HATE. He did a killer job, however, as many argue it wasn't RATT. I will say that with Jizzy as the lead singer for hire he brought a much clearer voice to Stephen's songs. It was weird because RATT is my all-time favorite band and everyone in the audience could clearly understand the words.
Fuck Yeah!! Ratt and Roll forever!! Great memories!!

@Mantechnic cuz stvn pearcy was a constant smoker and drinker
mopkij 1 year ago
@Mantechnic as a guitarist/keyboardist you would know that songs are tuned down by steps not octaves. he was a pretty bad singer to begin with too.
znosarrow 1 year ago
@Mantechnic
Not tuned down Octaves . Maybe a couple of Half steps.
As a guitar/ keyboard player you should know better.
Don't hate it Rock N Roll not a Symphony. If you don't care for his singing change the channel.
Keep Rock ALIVE.

Stephen is decent, not the best.
His voice is better on Studio than Live, his voice is very untrained, but he puts on a good show.
