Many Christians claim that only god could have created such beautiful things, but recently while in conversation with my sister who is also an atheist I came up with a theory that maybe the only reason we see things as beautiful is because through evolution and/or conditioning we were 'trained' to appreciate these beauties of nature. Beauty is completely subjective, so in my opinion it is very possible that we have this love for nature, when in reality it is just a neutral system.

I do not live a life of sin. I have never touched a drug in my life, I don't drink, and I've never hurt another person. I have morals. If God really wanted to, he could prevent every natural disaster, every war, every disease, every murder, and every rape. But no. So why?

I have researched them both, to be against something you have to understand how they work, and trust me... those theories, theories developed by scientists who were just coming up with stuff to disprove God because they never wanted God in the first place. The scientist are not out to disprove god and unfortunately what you have said so far sounds like you need to do more research and maybe check your sources (not all sources are reliable). A theory is disproved when evidence is found that does not fit the theory. A theory that still has questions that are not answered is not disproved but will most likely be modified as new evidence is found. Both abiogenesis and the big bang theory still require research to obtain a better understanding.
Just because there are still questions associated with these theories does not mean they are wrong, means more research is still required and saying god did it is intellectual laziness. God would be more illogical since there is no evidence of him and therefore you are basing his existence on blind faith. If you want to convince me otherwise, it's simple, show me evidence of his existence.And what about me and still falling, because I refuse to believe something blindly and can think for myself.

I do not believe blindly, at first I thought everything came from an explosion. But I have found God is the only logical reason for life.
As for having scientist think for me, actually I'm one of those scientist and I have look at the evidence and agree with it. Looking in the mirror is not evidence of god unless he is a horrible engineer. And the statement 'the big bang theory is called a theory for a reason' again goes to show you are not familiar with science. A scientific theory is not the same as an average theory, it is a mechanism that is well supported by evidence. A hypothesis is an idea that has not been tested.
Science is always changing, so for now the big bang theory and abiogeneisis is the best theory based on the evidence though it always possible more evidence will be found that disproves either or and if that happens, then I will agree with the theory that is best supported with evidence. This is why I have said to convince me of a god, you need to provide actual evidence. If you are happy believing without the evidence, it's your life and you can believe as you please.

It's not that I'm not open to evidence of a god, there is no physical evidence that I have come across. I was raised in a Christian home and was christian but things didn't add up. As I got more into science and saw the evidence for these theories, over time based one evidence I concluded there is probably no god, but if in the future evidence that withstands scientific rigor is found for a god, I will be open to changing my opinion, but again need evidence first.
I do agree that there should not be a boundary of hate between Christians and Atheists. As long as you can justify your belief or lack thereof, to yourself at the end of the day, and you do not use it to promote hate or cause harm, then go for it. I don't see why people think atheist and christians have to hate each other. I have friends that are christians and me being atheist and them christian does not effect our relationships and I see no reason why it should, we agree to disagree about it
yeah, I'm cool with debates and will always get into one, but as for arguments and anger I don't believe that should be done, especially if I am called to expand the kingdom of God out of love... it just turns people off and then they won't listen to you
I like to debate as well but I find more often than not, I tend to have to correct information since most people try to debate things they don't understand like evolution. As for weather or not there is a god, I think he probably doesn't exist but I will never state with 100% certainty there is no god. There is currently no physical evidence of a god but this does not disprove a god either, but without evidence of a god I will not live my life assuming there is one.
but is this proof going to withstand the scientific process? Any evidence presented would be analyzed with the same scientific rigor I use in my own work. If it can not be reproduced or done with proper controls, then it will not count as evidence to me. If you accept it as evidence then that's fine but the scientist in me holds very high standards.

GENESIS 2:4-9: Trees came after Adam.

The scientist are not out to disprove god and unfortunately what you have said so far sounds like you need to do more research and maybe check your sources (not all sources are reliable). A theory is disproved when evidence is found that does not fit the theory. A theory that still has questions that are not answered is not disproved but will most likely be modified as new evidence is found. Both abiogenesis and the big bang theory still require research to obtain a better understanding.

God would be more illogical since there is no evidence of him and therefore you are basing his existence on blind faith. As for having scientist think for me, actually I'm one of those scientist and I have look at the evidence and agree with it. Looking in the mirror is not evidence of god unless he is a horrible engineer. And the statement 'the big bang theory is called a theory for a reason' again goes to show you are not familiar with science. A scientific theory is not the same as an average theory, it is a mechanism that is well supported by evidence. A hypothesis is an idea that has not been tested.

Science is always changing, so for now the big bang theory and abiogeneisis is the best theory based on the evidence though it always possible more evidence will be found that disproves either or and if that happens, then I will agree with the theory that is best supported with evidence. It's not that I'm not open to evidence of a god, there is no physical evidence that I have come across. I was raised in a Christian home and was christian but things didn't add up. As I got more into science and saw the evidence for these theories, over time based one evidence I concluded there is probably no god, but if in the future evidence that withstands scientific rigor is found for a god, I will be open to changing my opinion, but again need evidence first.

I do agree that there should not be a boundary of hate between Christians and Atheists. As long as you can justify your belief or lack thereof, to yourself at the end of the day, and you do not use it to promote hate or cause harm, then go for it. I don't see why people think atheist and christians have to hate each other. I have friends that are christians and me being atheist and them christian does not effect our relationships and I see no reason why it should, we agree to disagree about it

I like to debate as well but I find more often than not, I tend to have to correct information since most people try to debate things they don't understand like evolution. As for weather or not there is a god, I think he probably doesn't exist but I will never state with 100% certainty there is no god. There is currently no physical evidence of a god but this does not disprove a god either, but without evidence of a god I will not live my life assuming there is one.

That was a fun piece of satire, but it misses a point that atheists often miss: the theists' fear of them is perfectly legitimate. In effect, atheists do want to destroy the world they believe in and desire. What do atheists expect, open arms?
