  • Clint Eastwood would love this cannon

  • im looking for a hiking gun. would the 45 stop an average size black bear. per i hike in black bear country. i currently carry a sccy 9mm. your opinion would be of help to me.

  • @chraw1983

I tihnk it'd be just fine in doing so.

A really decent caliber would be a .44 mag though.

  • @MypasswordisNewMedic thanx for the advice

  • @chraw1983

No problem. Always glad to help a fellow gun owner out!

  • @chraw1983 I would concur with the other gentleman, .44 mag would be good to pack thru bear country. If you like the .45 long colt a lot, check out the .454 casull cartridge, guns chambered in it can fire both, and if you don't mind some extra recoil, the .460 s&w mag fires all three. The .454 casull has more punch than the .44mag and .460 has almost as much as the .500, with a faster but slightly lighter bullet. I wouldn't wanna face a charging bear with any less than .357mag.

  • if you shoot .45s out of it, its really accurate even with a 3inch barrel on it

  • The Judge shoots a .410 right?

  • @PRHSBaseball11 I do believe so. It also shoots .45 LC I believe...

  • Now thats what I call an open and shut case

    Dadummmm

  • shoot the judge more

  • R.I.P Snowballs :'(

  • Stone cold execution

  • great video.. would you feel secure using the judge and the winchester pdx1 ammo for home defense.

  • is that double action or semi auto?

  • @MP40wnage Its a revolver not an auto loader, and he is firing it double action.

  • You killed Frosty.

  • The judge is a nice piece of hardware.

  • Here, in Finland it is so cold that we cannot make snowballs or snowmans :(

  • You know I have heard its mostly good for a snake gun, but I guess with snowball terrorism on the rise this does make sense.. thanks Hickok! always fun

  • Now THAT is an appropriate use of snow...

  • @dafrogtoad Unless you live here in California, where the Judge pistol is banned and I believe there is a 10 day waiting period for snowballs.

  • @Ammobucket banned?...really?....holy crap...and somehow i just see ALL the back alley sno-ball machines in LA....OH, THE HUMANITY!

  • We need this judge in our Supreme Court.

  • Frosty the Sno...oooh my God the carnage!!!!

  • hey hickok was this birdshot or buckshot

  • @shirogarasu Watch the desert eagle video, no shotshell but still massive explosion. The physics principle at work is called hydrostatic energy dissipation.

  • Kinda makes you wish the Taurus raging judge had been approved for import huh lol

  • "Go to your address bar, after the word YOU and before the word TUBE, type in "win" then press enter"

  • how about a closeup?

  • Now the Tauras came out with the Ranging Judge that shots 28 Ga and 454 Casull.

  • @Captb55806 I heard that the ATF had put the Raging Judge on some sort of "banned" list (some other name), because the 28 guage was more than a .50 caliber pistol? Anyone else heard that?

  • @Castleknight Taurus probably did not put it in for marketing. If it is over a half inch bore for non sporting purpouses it classifies as either a destructive device, or AOW meaning Any Other Weapon. Either of which would need an NFA tax stamp. Cost is $200 for the stamp, with a wait of between 6 weeks, and six months depneding on how long it takes them to review your application.

  • @n8tex254 Thanks, n8tex254, I couldn't remember the "destructive device" or "AOW" names.

  • @Castleknight From what I understand is that Taurus did have the Raging Judge at the 2011 shot show.

and second Taurus is currently is filing a law suite againts the ATF from what I have been told. What it is its just a stupid stunt that asshole Eric Holder is trying to play. They need to due way with the ATF there is no need for them.

  • @Captb55806 Thanks for the update, Captb55806

  • hi, i like all your video, thanks for share it, i have an ask do you have a cz 75 ?

  • @mslyh. Man I don't even watch nutntancy anymore. He's annoying and so one sided. And it kinda weirds me out how militant he is. I think red dawn is his bible

  • I see the snow is back

  • dear H45,

could you please make a video shooting skeet with it ?

    thanks

  • @dumfart21 , I think they'd have to be flying very, very low. The range is not very far with a 3" barrel.

  • @hickok45 my dreams are crushed, but thanks anyways

  • @hickok45 You can hand toss them yourself or have someone toss them. If your non shooting hand want cooperate then I suggest someone else throw them. My brother and I did this last weekend.

  • @dumfart21

Yeah I want to see some true skills, skeet, trap, and sporting clays with the judge! I am starting to think you might just be all talk their Hickok45 :) Lets see what you really got!

  • Here come da judge, here come da judge, order in da courtroom, here come da judge. I wish I could afford another gun.

  • i guess that if 3:16 is the time for stone cold steve austin, the time for hickok45 is 19:11.

  • Unlike nutnfancy, Hickok45 will actually SHOOT the gun he is reviewing instead of just holding it and making assumptions. I'm not for or against the Judge. But I'd like to see what Hickok45 has to say about the supposed "poor accuracy". Time will tell and so will Hickok45. And when Hickok45 speaks, many of us listen. Now let's see you hit the gong with that baby and some 45 LC's!

  • Not legal in California....

  • Badass.

  • North American Arms is optimizing one of their mini-revolvers in 22Magnum for snakeshot loads. It'll be called "The 2nd Year Law Student Clerking For A Municipal Court Traffic Commissioner".

    :)

  • if only Taurus didn't have quality control issues...

  • @monco123 I think years ago that was an issue, however the stuff they've been puttin out lately has been pretty awesome. I've been really happy with my PT1911. I think all gun makers have ups and downs, heck even Kimber is kind of on a down now. Lots of people unhappy with their 1911s lately. Over the years they've been the best now its questionable. I dont think you get a much better warranty that Taurus either. Life of the gun, not you. I think the judge will be around a long time.

  • I frankly love the Judge. I got the one call the the Public Defender. Great gun fun too shoot. I herd lately of the Smith and Wesson Governor it suppose to shoot .45 ACP, .45 Colt and .410. Thinking of giving that one a try.

  • Hickock strikes again!!!!!

  • pretty cool. thanks for sharing

  • No fire arm is a joke. Only the people that handle them are. I'm sure the judge is produced for a purpose. And if it passed the test and hit the shelves, it met it's purpose

  • My Dad got a Judge in December as a Christmas present (to himself) and I was firing it with #6bird, 00Buck, and Federal Premium Home Defense shells and that thing is a riot! Has a kind of large feel to it but once you start squeezing them off the extra beef in the frame/cylinder does a nice job of handling the recoil.

  • have you heard about their new 28 gauge revolver?

  • nice slo mo!

  • Nice video. Thanks for sharing!

  • NICE way to clear some snow !

  • Would you prefer this to a.357 mag for personal defense?

  • @shirogarasu , I was shooting 410 shotgun loads. A .45 Slug might have not done that.

  • @hickok45 I was going to ask that lol

  • @hickok45 I bet an HP would...

  • @hickok45 compare the .410vs.45 againts snowballs =)

  • luvit lol

  • Hickok45 and Nutnfancy are great at what they do ..... both are knowledgable and experienced in firearms. And they both are honest and have a great sense of humor. What more could anyone ask for. Keep it up !

  • @purkjason , Thanks. He does a lot of great work. There will always be something people don't like that I do or anybody does. That's what makes the world go around. :-)

  • how heavy is that trigger?

  • @skatefreefallhard1 , IT actually have a nice feel to it.

  • @skatefreefallhard1 12.5 lbs double action.

  • was that .410 or .45?

  • No live snowballs were injured in the filming of this video.

  • these comments smell of nutnfancy.

Why not pick one up as a fun gun? kinda like what hickok's doing here.

  • @lvcsslacker , It's a great little fun gun, plus I do believe a shot of 410 in the face, or anywhere, would change my mind about bothering somebody. :-)

  • @hickok45

    I agree entirely.

  • @lvcsslacker I don't watch nutnfancy, but I was heavily biased without even thinking about it. I'm looking forward to some shooting with this thing, and I'd even love to see some ammo tests with it by tnoutdoors9 (I can dream.)

  • @rifleslol , I have picked up several different types of 410 shells, and we plan to show spread, as well as penetration of some different objects. Regardless of what we do, it won't be enough for everybody, but I'll be able to give people an idea of the power. Myself, too. I don't yet have a strong opinion on this type of gun other than knowing I would not want to be sprayed with even 410 birdshot at close range. :-)

  • @rifleslol

    biased against?

  • what would that do to a human head? id imagine it wouldnt look less different than the snowballs.

  • LOL Taurus Judge.... what a joke of a pistol

  • @LiveFreeOrRIP go back under your bridge...

  • @Fangler2 I have a right to voice my thoughts of the weapon. And my thought is, its a Joke and a waste of money. And sorry I don't bow down to the gods and follow everything everyone likes.. I don't like the judge for my reasons. Judge is impractical as a EDC and is inaccurate, wait to see his review on this its useless...

  • @LiveFreeOrRIP Why is it a joke? I have the same model as hickok it is a great home defense gun that can accept 3 different rounds of ammo. Its built like a fine watch and I would trust it with my life.

  • Comment removed

  • @vector6977 the problem with these .410 pistols is that they aren't particularly good at anything. They're marketed as being great for defense, and they're not. With shot (either bird or buck), they don't achieve penetration depths sufficient to reliably stop an attacker. Loaded with .45 LC they do...but then you've got yourself a large 5-shot .45 revolver--there are a lot of better .45's. Practical? For loading with bird shot and shooting snakes, maybe. For defense it's mediocre at best AGREED

  • @LiveFreeOrRIP Not sure any pistol is a "joke", as you put it. Shoot a home intruder in the face at 10 feet and I guarantee you, he won't be laughing.

  • @Chriscjs Well your right its not a joke.. But it is unpractical as a pistol for your money. And you dont aim for the face, you aim for the chest, but who am I just an idiot.... your the gun pro aim for the face with your Judge pfffff. 1 more thing IF you ever god for bid have to use a deadly force on a person you may not have all day to IE AIM and blow there face off, Now I could draw my G23 and shoot at someone from mid aim and hit there chest pretty easy and really fast. Think about that.

  • @LiveFreeOrRIP Then shoot him in the chest.he still won't be laughing.I think you're taking this thing a bit too seriously though.Great video.cracked me up.I had to watch it a dozen times.Just like I do most of hickok45's videos.He's a riot and a danggood shot.I don't own a judge, never will.but sounds like a fun gun to shoot.Personally, for home defense, I use a M&P.40 15rds.Much like your G23.but not a compact.And yes,of course you aim for the chest.its no brainer.relax and enjoy life.itsgood

  • @LiveFreeOrRIP ever heard of the term ,coooooooool as a cucumber,i might have to phone anger management orgnaisation to come round yours :)

  • @Chriscjs

that line just made my day :D

  • Definitely would like to hear your thoughts on the judge. Thinking of getting one. If its good enough for Hickok it's good enough for me.

  • Awesome. Here come da Judge. Looking forward to a full review.

  • i think you should get a big sharps 50. buffalo gun and review it.

  • Do a reveiw!!

  • wow someone got their panties in a bunch

  • What type of revolver was that?

  • never mind.

  • Comment removed

  • Hello Sir! your videos are just amazing :) I really love your review on 1911 the traditional 9mm pistol which is still respected by everyone :D

  • Hey hickok have you ever fired a Mateba Autorevolver before?

  • No Mercy!!!!

  • Funny vid hickok. The Judge looks great, a bit out of my price range though haha. Do you have any experience with any of the Taurus semi-autos? I've been very curious about them & I know their revolvers are solid, but does it carry over to their pistols..?

  • new subscriber, love the vids! no better way to start the morning than with a monster energy, and a hickok45 video! keep up the great work!

  • Smith and Wesson has there new Governor just like the judge only it can shoot 45acp to plus I think Smith is better that tarus

  • which do you think is better: a remington 1911 or a H&K usp???? need help deciding for when i can get a handgun

  • @purelief - I would look at other options too, like Kimber, Glock, and Sig Sauer.

  • @jsmonk true but i would like to use it for competition

  • @purelief - then you should definitely consider a Glock. No gun has a shorter trigger reset than a Glock.

  • @jsmonk ok man thanks

  • Have you seen the Smith and Wesson Governor yet?

  • Nice Hickok.

  • what attachments did you have on your gun and were you using sleight of hand?

  • Too cool ( no pun intended) the slow motion was a good idea.

  • very cool! I wouldn't mind having one of those!

  • Thats a short video for you.

  • LOVE THE JUDGE! My dad was afraid of it...

  • Haha! I love the way you introduce new guns to the channel... always a teaser to make us wait!

  • id dont see this as a optimal self defense gun, but a very capable snake gun

  • i'm the only one who notice how the Judge looks small on hickok's hands? o.O

  • Reminds me of your buffalo shooting video.

    So awesome.

  • the snow balls had it coming

  • What no S&W Governor?

  • Yes! Even with slow motion. Good video once again, Mr Hickoc.

  • You're far from "new" Sir......but a classic line nonetheless.

  • "New Judge"...is that the "new" S&W judge type revlover??? Or the old "Taurus"???

  • lol @ the people who think 410 is weak just because nutnfancy said so.

  • A snowball's chance on The Compound.

  • nice

  • I vote for Hickok 45 to be the new Judge Dread. You murder a innocent person face the Judge.

  • hickok great vid and what a great gun i love it my uncle shot a hole as big as a basketball right through a door now thats badass my friend.

  • How does .45lc compare .45 acp in kick?

  • Frosty Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!

  • Taurus is making the Raging Judge in 28 gauge this year.

  • like the judge as a toy, but as .410 defensive carry, id still take my Bond Arms Snake Slayer over and under. small, easy to handle, has a hammer and a safety if that matters to some people. and lets face it, if you need more than 2 rounds of 00 buckshot in a defense situation, your in over your head anyway! lol

  • Can't wait to see the full video on this... Thanks Hickok45 for all the wonderful vids!!!

  • Good stuff!

  • @ssdwellah are you sure about that, i know they had a 22 hornet but it is nowhere close in power compared to the 223

  • What was more fun hickok45, making the snowballs or shooting them ;P

  • A while back I read about a Taurus revolver that shot .223 Rem/5.56 NATO! I think it was called the Raging Bull, but I have never seen or heard anything about it again. Maybe it didn't fly with BATFE.

  • A little bored today, are we? Poor snowballs! Lol

  • Poor Jack Frost...

  • Now you have to get the Governor made by S&W, Because the Governor out ranks the Judge!

    Tim,

    Richmond, Ky

  • @TRKGL1800 The Governor also shoots .45acp with moon clips

  • public execution of frosty the snow man?

  • hey Hickok, if u wanna shoot snow come on up to NY we have a ton of it!!!!

  • @trippyhatesu Just a ton? Meh.

  • @cobolt13 lol

  • thats what the snows get!

  • There is a lot of debate about the effectiveness of a .410 revolver but, seeing as how the lowly .22 LR kills many people every year, I don't want to be on the business end of any gun ever.

  • you can crack off all 5 rounds really quickly with relativity low recoil

  • Great vid! This means Ol' Gore will name Hickok as the enemy of snow! GOD BLESS!

  • S&W has a new 6 cylinder .410,45lc called the governor , it says it shoots 45apc but you need some fancy clips tho.

  • from more than 15 feet, the .410 is just gonna piss someone off. its a huge gun with little bark. it needs a special holster and accesories. if you want to prove your manhood than pack a 44mag. other wise, get a glock, a kahr, or a j frame revolver like the rest of us.

  • Do your neighbors hate you?

  • can i come over and play?

  • This is more of a trail gun for snakes and such, but, as I have seen in other comments, use the PDX1 shells, and I bet the nay sayers would change the mind set on this awesome piece.

  • That's good stuff, you can always get a chuckle out of me with your short vid's. Maybe using that Judge in the woods will reduce your reprehensible emission of empty 10mm brass.

  • "As likely as a snowballs chance in hickok45's back yard."

  • Free targets! (:

  • Put some PDX1's in it and feel the "gimmick" =D

  • I sense a "Judge" gun review in our future!

  • lets see, a quick blip of a new gun and all off a sudden everyone wants to know if there will be a review. come on now put your thinkin caps on. 5 rounds of buckshot will put alot of holes in somebody at handgun range.

  • The new judge is 454 cassul :) ehh but im not a fan of it due to accuracy problems but it certainly is a cool gun

  • what loads were those?

  • I dont really consider the tarus Judge a home or self defense gun, but i think it is the best snake gun in the world.

  • @Kylef7735 are we forgetting about OOO buckshot? Perfect for self defense.

  • @MichiganZombieHunter Are you forgetting about only 5 shots? I dont care what caliber you are shooting, if im defending my life, i want alot more than 5 shots.
