whats the thread size on the fh1 im looking to get one for the 60p ..u think its a good investment? i use a redrock also

Thread size on the FH1 is 37mm. It's a good little camera, though it's kind of the "runt" of my pack, I use it for riskier shots where it won't be devastating if it gets destroyed accidentally, whereas my HV40 and HFS10 are used a little more gently. Can't beat the price of the FH1, either, especially for the 1080p60 capabilities.

I have a JAG35ST on my VPC-FH1 as we speak (didn't use it for this). It appears to work fairly well, except that the manual focus only lets you set it to 2cm and 5cm. 2cm is too close and 5cm is too far, so you have to use AF in Macro mode, or get some spacers to get to 5cm. I've used it in AF Macro and it seems to hold focus as long as you have a decent amount of light. Between shots turn to a narrow aperture and the camera gets a good focus on the grain of the ground glass element.
