@skulkruncher122 Slightly wrong, although i did not count the amount dead, but Master Chief is/was a Spartan Two, as was his whole team, he was also in the same galaxy during/parts of the downfall of Reach (says the books.) He was doing a space mission to retrieve data of where earth/other colonies would be, that was not purged. Spartans 1s, I believe were just a failed Spartan program, and Spartan 4s never existed, (at least in the books.)

wrong sort of man there was like 75 Spartans twos actually( type of Spartan that Master Chief is, and there was like 900 Spartan threes so all together 975ish if you count all the ones that have died too. I don't know how many were on Reach though.

dude the covanent surprised them and there where only about 43 spartan 3s made. only 7 spartans on reach. noble six took another spartans palce cuz he died. well any way most of the spartan 2s died on harvest and other missions before reach and same goes for the spartan 3s. mc was on reach but he didnt fight . so learn your halo history. and earth had elites fighting for them and the most elite unsc. thats why.
