The stupid ass NHTSA banned the Defender from selling in the US. And now when the new one comes out it's probably gonna only come with the gas-guzzling Jaguar V8 instead of the TDI in America. Possibly the worst engine you can have for an offroader you're gonna go wadding in water with. Brilliant!

how did you get the sound so clear on this. I have tried a similar video with my defender and just get wind noise. Did you use a saperate microphone?

it´s a extern mic. i fixed it with tape above the exhaust outlet :-)

My wife and I did the G4 off road section in Laos alone in a standard Ford Ranger pick-up with no equipment whatsoever(not even a shovel), in late January 2006 before the G4 teams got there. Very easy off roading and we repaired a few washed away tracks and broken bridges for them! Land Rovers are capable of more than the G4, so why the ridiculous hype, cleverly edited videos and not a return to something like or better than the Camel Trophy?

My modified defender td5 would eat this 110! I can tell just by the sound of the engine! Pick up could be sharper. Interesting to see the german performance defender market products though.

Oh my god! hear the sound! Magnificent! I already loved a Defender but these guys maked it BRUTAL! And the interior changes are also nice. An A+. Or like we say in Holland; Dikke 10!!
