Good song. I like how the lyrics make references to Buddy Holly hits and the solo "Peggy Sue" part in the middle. I just finished reading "Hey Buddy" by Gary W. Moore. He was certainly a fan of this song and it converted him to Buddy Holly's music.

I love how he manages to put the titles of buudy's songs into sentences that make sense :) This video is such a heartwarming dedication and waters my eyes. I seen John's winter dance party concert this march, got the chance to get a picture with them. I LOVE this song. Saw John and the gang at Belleayre Music Fest last night (Aug. 21st). I've been singing this song since. VERY nice tribute John. It was awesome to meet you and Ray. I hope that Jay is feeling better. You guys rocked last night. Thank you SO much for the autographs and pictures. Being only 30, this is the closest I'll ever be to Buddy, Ritchie and Bopper. I went to the Clovis Music Festival in Clovis, New Mexico this past Saturday and caught John in the Buddy, Roy and Elvis show. Man it was great and they all put on a great show. Hey Buddy was the last song John performed in his show. Loved it.

I adore it! You can tell you are a fan when you recognize practically all the lyrics as Buddy song titles. Growing up I always felt cheated not being alive when Buddy was rocking out, but with John - I feel I get to experience Buddy after all! Rave on!

John is really great....does justice to the legacy of Buddy. Always plays "Blue Days Black Nights" for me in Chicago every year in January. His brother George is a phenomenal rockabilly guitar player. Love those guys!

I had the great experience of being able to watch John Mueller onstage as Holly in April. Let me tell you, if anyone can pay homage to Holly, its Mueller. Again, in this video, he has Holly down pat.Really gives ya goosebumps.This video nearly brought me to tears when I watched it. Holly was will always be a truly treasured person and musician...still loved nearly fifty years after his untimely death.Rave on.
