the girls may not be the best singers but the fact that both Emma/Mel C wrote on almost every one of their solo songs [and they are good!] compensates for it, IMO. They are like the Paul McCartney and George Harrison of the Spice Girls. Not saying they are up in that level but compared to the other Spices....
