Just wanted to let you know that I didn't see a single pine tree in the lot. It looks like the trees the cats are playing with are fir and spruce. So, that nice pine scent the cats love, isn't! It's the lovely spell of spruce or fir!

We have several species of spruce up here in Maine. One of them, the White Spruce, has the affectionate nickname of "cat-p@## spruce. Christmas trees are never made from them for obvious reasons!

@RollerCoaster107 Shere Khan our largest tiger definitely destroyed his, the other cats did some damage but mostly rub on them, but Khan decided to lay on his as you could see in the video and 700lbs of tiger does a lot of damage lol :)

@tubecatt Tigers and lions get around 15-20lbs a day at the sanctuary, leopards probably half that, but we have heavier feeding days and lighter feeding days as well :)

Wow! Khan, Joseph, and Cameron are pretty stingy when it comes to sharing their trees!

I'm still amazed each time I see one of your videos with lions and tigers at how the tigers always greet you with a chuff, while the lions tend to grumble and complain. Being social cats, you'd think the lions would be more "accepting" like that.

@apharot Yeah, there female friends all got chance to play with the tree afterwards :) Yeah that's strange, lions are the only social cat in the wild but probably the most difficult to work with in captivity, they have to let you know they are in charge!

@azntreehugger118 No, they're big cats, and are very tough, sometimes they get pricked on the nose when they first investigate the tree but that's about it :) After that the tree is in trouble!

what do you do when a big cat breaks a tooth?

@MiniMasa1337 After assessment (whether the tooth is split or just the tip broken off) if it required treatment we would schedule the big cat dentist and sedate the cat to see what we can do to either repair or remove the tooth so the cat isn't in pain :)
