If you play on PC then Two Worlds is NOT shame of the year. The console version may be - but not the PC version! It is a fun, deep cRPG with all the stats and level up and monsters and exploration that you could want in a cRPG!

Lists like this only prove one thing. People do not know what an RPG is any more, a sure sign the genre, that's been around for 25 years, is in it's last days, being taken over by Action-Adventures that are being called Action-RPG's. Games like Borderlands and STALKER.

Europe, with Two Worlds II, Witcher 2 and Gothic IV may keep the genre going a little longer, but because of the biased gaming media none of these games will get 90%'s however good they are, so may not sell well.

To be perfectly honest. I think that Witcher is a bit overrated game. I have played it but the fights were quite repetative and while the story was quite GOOD due to the feeling of repetitiveness I've never finished the game.

Oblivion:The Shivering isles expansion was very appealing to me especially because of Sheogorath who was, in my opinion, hillarious.

Haven't played the other games tho' I've read that Two Worlds had impressive spells animation but was overall unfinished and buggy as Hell.

I actually liked Two Worlds. I didn't get far mind you, but the voice acting never ceased ti entertain me. In the wrong way of course, but I had fun while playing it.

Oblivion was great, I preferred Morrowind over Oblivion by a long shot. But I enjoyed Oblivion.

I could never play Titan Quest. I got the game for Christmas one year, and Installed it without trouble, but while I played the loading screen (black screen with the little loading icon on the bottom right) kept coming up every 5-10 seconds. It was halting gameplay something terrible.

I thought it would go away, but it never did, so I didn't get a chance to play and found nothing on the internet that could help. I was very disappointed.

You want TRUE RPG games? try Arcanum, ADOM, The Elder Scrolls 1 and 2, Neverwinter Nights 1 and 2 (these two i admit are VERY boring), Oblivion it's ok, and a little etc. there arent, sadly, much more then this.

Nonono, you're getting it wrong, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is a game with some roleplaying aspects but it isn't a roleplaying game as is. The game listed here do prescisly what RPG games are supposed to, you play a role, gain Experience and make choses. You're just living in the past and can't stand the genre has evolved. Also on a side no all those RPGs you named are set in a D&D setting, please get out of your basement and try something new.

The WItcher is a fantastic game. I can see how alot of people can dislike it at first, but it definitely grows on you big time if you give it a chance. From what i've heard hellgate londen has his rights boughed over by a other company who let the game drain 2 death. It would have been a great game otherwise. Damn, in my oppinion: Titan quest should be above hellgate. Hellgate as gameplay get's boring faster than titan quest. But, hey; that's my opinion.
