I really want to install this on my phone but will it delete everything in my phone after installed?

@menan23 If you have the exact model, the one in the video which is Verizon Xv6900, then you don't have wifi. This was one of the only version of the HTC touch that did not have wifi because Verizon is evil :) .

@menan23 Well I am not sure what type of network you have there. This phone is for a CDMA network, there are also GMS version for other carrier. I am sure you can get this to work there. You need info from your carrier. and that varies greatly. For example for this phone we use #777 to connect to our data and then user name is phone#@vzw3g.com password: vzw.

@Hi5ivedash Yes it will work on Sprint Touch.. Look for android 2.2 and 2.3 update in the description in the future. I will be making a new video for 2.2 and 2.3 android.

@Hi5ivedash This will work on sprint.. look for vogue roms for any htc touch phones. if you are installing windows mobile 6.5 or other make sure you get the correct carrier cab file. In your case get sprint.

okay I need help please. I get it to start changing you know the screen with the penguin but it only goes half way then says failed???? do you know why can you help me please????

@jessicakern85 Hold down the dpad after the penguin then a menu will come up, select option to install and follow instruction. After that is done it will come back to the same menu just quit and it will start loading android. good luck.

It looks like you're on Donut 1.6, not 2.1.

You can check Android OS version by going into settings/about phone/ then look at firmware version.

You can get 2.1 at XDA forums. Just search for mssmison eclair v7.

replace androidinstall.tar in your andboot folder with the one from mssmison. delete your data.img from sd card, clear your dalvik cache, and install the new system, then you'll have 2.1.
