@nickyviola1 are you kidding? sparkle drive is anything but a hunk of shit it destroys the ocd ive used both and sorry but ocd is a plain overdrive to where a sparkle drive not only overdrives your sound but can blend clean and dirty plus boost any tube amp into amazing sounds

@vanzeposmith910 The Boss Blues Driver hands down. The Blues Driver has more headroom and is one of the best dynamic pedals out there. I think Fulltone is a great company and has some great pedals but Boss has the number one Booster of all time the SD1 and the OD3 is simply one of the best all around Overdrive pedals ever.

@viuhtii I think currently the Sparkledrive is the only overdrive they make, but if I find different I'll get back to you. I say that meaning not counting any fuzz or distortion pedal they make!

@viuhtii Just checked and now the Sparkledrive mod is on their site, and they're taking orders. I saw a video demo a year or two ago (ot a prototype) and it is finally a reality. You can probably find that searching on youtube; it is combined with a demo of another pedal called "Giggity", that was also pretty cool it I recall correctly.

Voodoo Labs OD has more gain, apparently. I like it.

And it has only 2 things that makes it look like a TS: the use of a dual op-amp, and the first gain stage. Everything else (clipping, second gain stage) is a completely different circuit compared to a TS.

I have the OCD v.4 but the VLOD sounds pretty freakin good. It is louder it seems. I think live, the OCD sounds and feels better coming out of my amp.

FULLTONE OCD V1 - gain sounds more saturated and

VDL OVERDRIVE - sounds slightly louder, fuller, and bass sounds slightly tighter

I am so glad to finally hear a DECENT demo/comparison of these two. You are right...sonically, these are quite different. If Mike based his OCD off of the VLOD, then he modified it enough to certainly make it its own beast. Fantastic demo, as always.

V1 isn't even the best.. My fav is 3.. I own 4. But I agree.. OCD is ideal for my ear. I got to admit though, they sound pretty close, but lets face the facts.. if you open both they will likely be completely different. Voodoo and Fulltone are 2 kick ass companies.

i had heard that the voodoo lab od was more of a dod 250 clone and that the ocd was a sparkle drive with mosfet clipping...not sure about either though, although the voodoo lab sounds nothing like a 250 to me
