My iPod wont go into dfu mode, every time i hold down both buttons an apple symbol immediately comes up on the screen for 5 seconds, then the iPod shuts off, and it does it again, and it shuts off, and does it again, and it keeps going like that until i unplug it. When i try and turn it on or put it in dfu mode when i unplug it, nothing happens. Please help!

I have this exact problem with an Ipod I tried to jailbreak. However, I downloaded the clickboot thingy and it will not open. It saves as a compressed file folder. When I got into the folder to open any of the different files it just tells me to extract all files. When I do that then it says the program has stopped working and it closes. Is there another download I can do that will help me fix the ipod touch?
