The sad thing is the original creator of the game hated the sequel cuz it kills the purpose of allowing the fans of the game to making their own ending to the story. With Heart of the Alien, everyone would probably accept Lester's fate in the game unlike how the original creator Eric Chahi envision it. Chahi had nothing to do with the development of the sequel besides giving Interplay permission to turning the spotlight to the alien dude instead of Lester.

4:17 - Just pure awesome.

No matter what you have to say about the game (for me, it was a bit of a letdown after an awesome first game), you have to commend the developers for giving Buddy a rather nice backstory as well as showing what he did while Lester did his thing. The only thing they didn't show was how Buddy got to the vent to pull Lester to safety a couple of stages before the arena level.

Buddy even has his own "Battle Cat!" XD I always loved those black beasts. Interesting that it's one of those beasts that kills The Warden to death. And he tries to fight it hand-to-hand, even!

I've often wondered if "alien" in the title 'Heart of the Alien' refers to Lester since he's technically the "stranger" in this strange land. Also, "Buddy" is the He-Man of his world (in which case, "The Warden" would be Skeletor).

Okay, that is KEWL... I love how they showed the aliens escape from the first game. I never knew about this version of the game.

It's cool that they showed his side of escape whilst Lester was doing his thing. I really liked it. I really want to play this game at some point.

One of the best cinemas from any game EVER! Despite the load times. Though the game itself felt incomplete. The controls needed tweaked. Honestly, I preferred the original in terms of gameplay, but I liked some of the new gameplay elements in this one. I think it's c0ol how we find out "Buddy" was a chieftan and a warrior.
