We trade with Saudi's because they have oil and all developed nations need that product currently to survive. We buy thier oil and in return they invest in the U.S. economy. We become dependent on them and they become dependent on us. China can provide the same products for cheaper prices. We provide the Chinese manufacturing jobs and raise their level of income. Any statistic about China indicates that the real wage level in China rapidly raising. They become dependent on us and we to them.
