You're misinterpreting the bias. I could argue that you look to be in better shape than me, yet as a male I can do almost 3x as many pull ups as you. The bias isn't that women shouldn't work out, it's that women naturally have a higher body fat percentage (i.e. less muscle to total body) so body weight movements are going to be harder for women in general. Body weight bench is another good example, it can be done, it just means more for a woman than a man
I have a love-hate relationship with this video. I love it that it's got me fired up to finally learn how to do chin-ups and pull-ups. I hate it that Rachel makes it look so easy! She rocks :-)

Those are pull-ups, and before you got tired and used your legs a bit, those were the most beautiful pullups I have ever seen.
Of course, I might be biased since you're a female and I'm a male ;-)
