very nice video! i have a cnc router and i am thinking of adding some lasermodule to use it as a cnc lasercutter aswell. i would like to cut wood like you and maybe up to 4mm. do you know any information links,.... about this topic or even ready to buy modules that can be attached to my cnc router?
I'm afraid I have no experience with CNC routers (yet) I'm not sure if it's an easy job that will yield results worth the effort, but here's what I know:
The laser used in this video is a 60 Watt CO2 Laser, from "G.Weike" ( wklaser dot com) replacement modules are available for purchase (they only last about a thousand hours or so, I believe) Materials with a lot of carbon (like wood) take a long time to cut. multiple passes works best.
Kyle forgot to add that there is a reason for choosing contact cement over what most people would think of when gluing wood; wood glue.
If you were to use wood glue, the glue would absorb into the wood and cause it to swell. If the wood veneer swells, it will not fit together properly and your image will be distorted.

@reg7805
I didn't bother making a video of me learning that lesson the hard way.
