  • lmfao Xerxes army had 1 million men? get your facts straight... it had less then one hundred thousand.

  • why the second man falls....in 4:19 ???

  • I think it took his hand aswell.

  • lol these guys also have extremely white teeth----not typical of the age lol

  • yea there were much more athenians in this battle, thousands, the greeks and spartans hated each other but they accepted it as neccesery in the end to survive against the persian. BUT...less than 10,000 men killing 180,000 men was more than impressive

  • you say bullshits.....the numbers was:7000 greeks-200,000 persians....deaths:20,000 persians-2,000 greeks......for more inforamation contact with me

  • 8:07 anti grav much?

  • Spartan forces fought on land.

    Athenian forces fought at sea.

  • so inacurate but still BAD FREAKING ASS

  • THIS IS WHERE THEY DIE!!!

  • I remember watching this part in history class. it was cool

  • Buddy, I think you have a pretty crappy history teacher if you're watching this educationally.

  • suck .... a ....dick.... kthxbye

  • no, hes right

  • Best Part Eva

  • Frank's version is the best this is how it was peeps!

  • the Athenians took the charge then the spartans moved in.

  • bullshit.. this was SPARTAN FIGHT not Athenian... athenias were never involved in this..!

300 spartans... i dont see anything athenian!

  • their were 7000 greeks including 300 spartans look it up. The pass was over a 100 yards long no way 300 men could hold it alone.

  • i believe u but... think about it.. Spartans never likeed the Athenians... Spartans dveloped their own nation... and think about it.. Leonidas was a smart king, he chose his BEST 300 MEN.... there were only 300 spartans... maybe athenias helped them on the sea like Ships hitting each other to sink their enemy...

  • the greek coalition picked Leonidas to comand the greek defense on the ground. Sparta and Athens had been at peace for over 40 yrs by then.

  • epic scene!!! just epic!!!!

  • i like it

  • This is Frank millers version of it, it was never meant to be of any historical acculturates but the story is real though!

  • how come there is no blood on the ground at all? whenever the blood sprays and drops on the ground it fades away.

whatever cool ass fight scene nonetheless.

  • because its all done on blue or green screen are what ever

  • yeah i know that (obviousely) i'm kinda just wondering whether producers meant for there not to be blood stains or if they just didnt notice...its kind of a big part of a bloody fight scene.

  • and its funny how they go against hundreds and yet the dont even get cut once while they're killing people, but then they suddenly grow scars from something.

  • i love these historic action movies, although i think its funny how spartans, persians, greeks, and whatever historic people that atre in the movie are speaking english instead of their native language. but still...

  • its that way so we understand it

  • gerard butler, scottish ftw! clan macleod!

  • Damn, that push and kill strategy is smart. I'm gonna use that on neighbor.

  • Dude, they did that in real life. Decisive Battles.

  • this is great it sorta proves tht they didnt just stab wildly they used their brains

  • Theoden, aragorn, and leonidas are true definitions of kings! Right in the front lines!

  • Baddass king Leonidas on the front line :D

  • the spartaks were not Greek u domhead...the were pelasgion people..

and the pelasgion were not Greeks...

the spartaks fought not to let persia come to illyria-macedonia..becouse of the Alexander the great went to persia now the persions wonted to take illyria and macedonia...and the greeks were in the persion side..sorry but the History that the greeks know is not the truth...

  • Do you know how to spell? Spartaks? Try Spartans, and they were, in fact, Greeks. Look at a map of Ancient Greece, you'll see Sparta smack dab in the middle. Xerxes was following in his father's footsteps, who tried to conquer Greece before but failed. Then again, this movie was never about historical accuracy, it's based on a graphic novel...

  • Haha...no...Dude it IS based on a novel yes, but this "blood-shed war" did happen you twit... and there was the 300, dont believe me? search it up on the history channel, it shows a documentry..

  • Are you referring to me? Of course the war really happened... The History Channel documentary was called The Last Stand of the 300. I meant the battle sequences were never supposed to be based on reality, like sprays of blood that never land on the ground, and how the Spartans were actually heavily armored.

  • Actually 300 Spartans led approximately 3,000-10,000 other Greeks, depending on who's text you cite...no way 300 lone men could do it; and Miller's story is a "historical-fantasy".

  • It was called 300 because only 300 could be in the pass of Thermopylae.

  • the real story says that the persians could not use their calvary but why are they using it?

  • long live greece!a history lesson for all mankind...and turks

  • studies prove that back in them times persian skulls could be easily broken for instance a pebble lauched at 30mp could easliy smash thriugh one end and come out the other where as egyptian skuls could be bashed with a big rock and only get a small scratch but that was back in the SPARTA!!!!!!! times

  • i am from Greece and i know very vell what happend, they were more than 300 spartans and 1000 allies of spartans

  • one of my favourite parts in the movie. i just love the take where leonidas kills in slow motion! :P

  • Long Live Leonidas and the Spartan Heroes,Greetings from Serbia,Love and Respect for Hellas

  • 4:13 Ouch, right in the balls

  • who gives a crap about the accuaracy! its a damn good movie!

  • Snyder said this film was 90% accurate. For people like you and I, you can obviously see what is real and what is not. But a quick glance at YouTube will tell you that there are a large number of people who believe anything they see. Plus, the actual story of what really happened is far more interesting, such as how Leonidas sent the majority of the Greeks away when he knew they would be surrounded, leaving the Spartans and the Thespians to fight to the death.

  • what's the name of the song, when the persians coming up? thx

  • I think it's called "The Hot Gates" from the 300 soundtacks

  • No, I dont copy and paste your shit, and I will return in 8 hours to prove you are a complete IDIOT!

  • but in real, the spartans werent alone, they had 10000 greek soldiers with them, until a too big army was going to fight the spartans, the king let the griek soldies retreat, and the 300 spartans stand their ground to hold the persians en give the grieks some time

  • Is it a gay kolossal?

  • the persian army was around 100 000 in the real battle

  • no!!!400.000

  • 200,000 is the very maximum, given the logistics of the period, so fishtankrandom is correct. Do some research.

  • but how whould the spartans now that they cant count all of them

  • In reality they properly had more sacrifices. The Greeks held back the Persians for three days, so I guess they served their purpose.

  • Favorite part is when the persian asks them to lay down their weapons. Cherish that moment! Then he is killed i give the movie 9.5/10, sensational movie, and a great video.

  • I don't think anyone cares with visuals and violence on this level.

  • True enough I suppose.

  • Today, any loser believes he is a critic

  • What is the Story title?

  • Oh that's right, kill the messenger!

  • ur face is fake gaywadd

  • THE PERSIANS GOT THEIR ASS BEAT!

  • no shit? 98% of it was green screen. That doesn't make the movie any less awesome.

  • agree with you

  • me too

  • they had to use green screen, the actual battlefield looks nothing like it did when the real battle was fought.

  • It's a MOVIE. Based off of a GRAPHIC NOVEL. LOOSELY based off of history.

Of course it would never happen.

  • ping!

  • Geil!
