  • whats the name of last instrumental?

  • @tukidid93 Ah classic- the Pharcyde - Passin Me By.

  • wats the name of the second instrumental he played

  • @DJbeatdown1 c.r.e.a.m wu tang clan

  • Comment removed

  • where did that sample come from?

  • bitch made

  • man ure awesome ;)

  • get that turd off ya' shoulda'

  • I can't watch this on my iPad.... Wtf.

  • watch?v=6brXDz6m0ok

    Now thats ^ ^ ^ what I call a sick live remix!

  • coooooooooooooool;x

  • :/ didn't like it this time

  • THIS IS LAME!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHY IS THIS GUY GETTING PAID FOR THIS!?!

  • @djhalo why? just curious.

  • @MrDJCrazyDiamond It's boring as hell, makes me want to put a video of me doing one, check out BLAKEY Though.

  • what turntables is he using as it has what looks like cue buttons on the sides?

  • @frenchnesian They're called Novation Dicers, designed by Ean Golden and Novation. They're anywhere from $75 to $100 a pair, automapped with every DJ software. They've got loops, cue points, n I think a beatmasher effect. The turntables are your basic 1200's but everyone loves the Dicers now! I'd reccomend getting them on eBay, it's cheapest there and you can get free shipping.

  • @MysteryMixes the dicers were designed by novation and serato I don't think Ean Golden had anything to do with there development, he's not a turntable guy though djtechtools dose offer custom dicers with blue leds.

  • @djtb1 Yup, I know for a fact Ean helped design them. It's on the Novation website.

  • It's alright but he could've easily done this without using "The Bridge". In fact, that sort of made it retarded because the whole point of LIVE remixing is to do it live and it's not like he did anything TOO crazy like Ean Golden does in his vids. Songs with similar BPMs layered under to a pretty basic acapella isn't very impressive. It's good though! Don't get me wrong.

  • What are those things on the corner on the Turntables. Cues? buttons? whats its called.?

  • @rhdjdmda6 Cues- Novation Dicers

  • Comment removed

  • @rhdjdmda6 the mechanisms are equipped with a diverse range of looping functions and also can control cue points, and is for vinyl only (iguess since it was originally pretty damn hard to loop with vinyl) and they arent too costly, but im not sure what they're called. i just read about them in some dj times magazine.

Actually it might be called a "Dicer" !

  • @DjTheSe7enthHeaven Tha Novation Dicer can be used wit Serato scratch Live (update 2.0 on up) and any other type of turntable, whether it be CD turntables, or regular analog or no decks at all.You can DJ internally.

If you hav tha time code signal your good.

So if your using a Ipad,Ipod or Iphone wit tha right app that gives a time code signal, you`ll be able to use tha Novation Dicer.

I own a pair and tha great far as a DJ tool.

  • Respond to this video... ahh shit i didnt see that comment under mine lmao.........

  • phat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • how the fuck do you learn how to do this god danm this shit takes discipline

  • pretty dope

  • Gotta say that Id be bored after dancing to this for a minute or two...

  • @bcrouche this hits me as a chilling out type of mix like skating to this or just hanging out not really dancing tho haha

  • what version are yu using (scratch live) I have a problem, my scratch live crashes once I switch on the APC 40. advise

  • @DailYxDosE using an acapella and instumental

  • What's the music at 0:42 please guys ? Thanks

  • @AntOneSan

the song is wu tang clan cream

  • @AntOneSan C.R.E.A.M. - Wu Tang

  • can the bridge work with the serato video sl if not Y

  • what is that song at 2:43 PLEASE

  • @WhySoSerious214 i think your talking about the pharcyde's passing me by?

  • I can't get over the end of this mix man! I was only feeling a portion of the rest of it, but the last bit completely makes up for it. G shit right here.

  • Anyone know the computer software hes using? please and thank you! :)

  • @sirsmashface

Serato Scratch Live with the Bridge plugin for serato (you need Ableton Live to use the bridge)

  • what mixer is being used in this vider

  • @niggz69 Rane 68

  • whats the instrumental at 2:20?

  • I wonder if that Pioneer DDJ-S1 in the background is intentional product placement.. lol.

    dope video!

  • a mi solo me falta... todo el equipo!

  • What were all the songs you used in this?

  • @ djglobeone

i dont care if its not the dmc, and i couldnt care less about technicality!

my point is that this equipment is suposed to push boundaries, not make things easier just cause you have more gear! now s**t off!

  • This is sick and all, and dude has skills. That being said with that treasure trove of gear in front of dude, not gonna lie I expected something a little more. And lets not forget its pretty damn hard to miss a beat when your tracks are tempo locked in serato by way of ableton...

  • What kind of turntables are those?

  • @1JUVI1 Technics 1210s with some sort of midi interface

  • This really isn't amazing at all..Traktor 2 has sample decks now which allows you to do this and more..Plus Traktor sounds way better.

  • damn make a cd!

  • PRETTY FLY, FOR A WHITE GUY, HE KNOWS WHATS UP

  • Not hating, but... Only one acapella and using controllers ? How is that impressive? I've heard more music come off two copies of the one scratch record on nothing but 2 turntables. Come now, drop the fancy toys, and sure granted they are very nice toys, but show us some real stuff, e.g. what the Bridge can REALLY do. At least better taste in overall music is warranted. The Jay Z track ain't a classic - it's horrible. Pharcyde plus only 2-3 other instrumentals worth playing in that whole video.

  • @teemad Please note I say all of the previous comment with all due respect. Nick does have some considerable skill. But what I saw there didn't do his skills OR the Bridge OR Serato Scratch Live justice. Despite this, I sincerely hope all of you guys from both the Serato and Ableton camps continue to push the bar regardless. Peace out.

  • how does he do the looped pitch effect at the end. is the effect in serato or on the mixer? Thanks

  • @clapperz its looped so u just either turn off the turn table while its looped or you fix the settings on serato.

    1. Click on setup on serato

    2. click the playback tab

    3. braking (internal mode) nob Turn it to about 1 o'clock

    4. Now CHOOSE YOUR TRACK LOOP IT TO UR DESIRE AND PRESS STOP AND LISTEN TO THE MAGIC HAPPEND...

  • @DJBOXXER

    legend. Cheers man

  • not the most impressive, but still a nice mix showing the capabilities of the bridge and the sixty eight

  • Great Mix !

    What's the beat at 2:20 ?

  • @LaMauvaiseIdee That's Scarface - Guess Who's Back

  • @innovativedjd

    thanks alot man.....

  • whats the song at 1:53?

  • @nickeldickel1 Scarface - Guess Who's Back is what is just comin in.

  • the intention of this video, I THINK!!!!, is to show, what is able with the Bridge. Sure, there are also other ways to do this.

  • Wow, you all are pretty much on point will all of your opinions. Glad I'm not the only one, you don't need the Bridge to do that, just preparation and some fast hands and cue points, LOL! Boring as hell though!

  • Wow That was incredibly boring. Proves my point. All show with gear but NO show with the talent.

  • 3:13 Something unexpected

  • What type of turntables are those?

  • @saadwaseem Technics 1210 MK5G

  • what software is this???????????

  • @BR0CKG Serato Scratch Live with a Rane Sixty Eight

  • nice mix..but personally, all this can be done with a sett of 1200s & serato:)

dont really need all the xtras if you can mix properly.. i applaud the effort still!

  • whats the beat that starts at 1:14

  • pretty awesome stuff man, what is the thing with the buttons that have cues on them that you can hit called?

  • Check out this mix. Enjoy :)

    /watch?nomobile=1&v=UW1SmUUATYQ

  • the truth...

  • how do you take off the beat?? anyone!!! pls!!!!!

  • @rafael29921 u cant :( i looked everywheres :( just try to look up free styles

  • @CHEEZIT02TB wat do iput freestyle for? nd ikno theres a way! haha ikno theres is xD!!!!!

  • @rafael29921 Well i looked it up on youtube, U can try some editing software that will allow you to take out the beat and keep the lyrics but it is a lot of work:(

  • @CHEEZIT02TB nice bro can u tell me wat its called,.... private message mee...

  • awsome!

  • what kind of set up is this? what kind of vinyl's ? EVERYTHING? plz respond i need this information . thank you i would appreciate it.

  • dude just stop djin

  • what mixer is that?

  • @joeycost you stupid ? The Bridge is software, so yes.. he IS showing off the bridge.

  • IS DJ L.E.S. FROM N.Y.C. GOOD JOB MY BROTHER!! LOVE THE MIX!! SO FROM ME TO YOU OLD SKOOL!! YES SIR>LOVE IT.GO TO MR_DJ LES@YAHOO.COM IS O GOOD..

  • nice

  • it doesnt show what he used to make jayz's voice fade off at the end like that. you can see he isnt doing it manually and it must be one of those buttons that automatically and gradually lowers the speed or pitch? anyone know how he made that happen?

  • jajajjjajajajajajaa

  • no hating intended.

but the more i watch these videos.

the more i honestly CANNOT understand why people go for this and not traktor.

    it boggles my mind.

feel free to convince me otherwise, im open.

  • @headshock1111 it's the coke and Pepsi debate.. both companies have a very similar products... just how the present it.. most of Native instruments videos are done by DMC champions so you would expect a great routine. i think this was a dope routine given the complexity of it. i think NI kinda messed up when they showed their equipment doing the same thing traktor does with serato (urban assault video with shortee and fraust)... but like i said... both products take from one another..

  • @Traclfeen oh no i think this was a good routine, especially coz i dont think it was entirely planned out. i understand that serato is basically only for people who are interested in having vinyl timecode, whereas the majority of traktor users are using midi controllers and i think becoz of this clash, thats where all the scrabbling comes from. i just love that w/ TS someone with talent and no money can pick up a 250 dollar laptop, and a 100 dollar midi controller and a soundcard and go shine.

  • @headshock1111 same i used to practice with traktor but perform with serato but i felt it was time to push my djing further so i made a full switch to traktor. serato makes for lazy dj's and i throughly believe that. if someone en ds up convincing u please share what they had to say cause right now im traktor scratch loyal

  • @Ghost096 haha, ya i was hoping someone would actually give me something credible to at least try out serato but nope.

do you mean lazy as in its not very hard or lazy as in from the crowd's perspective, it ends up like youre just dicking around on stage, clapping your hands and whooping, and not actually doing anything?

...i must say, traktor IS easy...but the potential for it is completely limitless.

  • yo that mix is one of the sweetest i have ever heard

  • if you would please email me the name of that Akai peice of equipment you are using and how you hooked it up oh by the way my email is kingring42@aol.com

  • if you would please email me the name of that Akai peice of equipment you are using and how you hooked it up

  • @jimmythehideous whether your impressed or not why can't you just enjoy the thought and concept behind it? So what if he's using 4000 euros worth of equipment, it's the concept behind it and doing it live, can you do as well? Just appreciate stuff man and don't sweat it.

  • @dadjmixesit

its too much gear for simple mix man! i apreciate the concept! but i dont appreciate companies who i had respect for pushing products that they cant even properly showcase yet!

  • nice one!!

  • what midi is he using with ableton

  • Great video.I'm using (2) Technics SL-1200mk2's / (2) CDJ-800's.Pioneer DJM-600 mixer.Just brought Denon HC-4500 MIDI DJ Controller and thinking about getting Akai APC40 USB controller to use with Serato Scratch Live/Rane SL3 and Abelton Live suite.

How would I set this up like the set up in the video???

    I'm thinking ~TheTechnics/CDJ's ~>Rane SL3 ~>Pioneer Mixer~>and somehow use Denon HC-4500 as third deck option.Where would Akai APC40 Go???

  • 2:43 whats that song please send me message

  • This is...not that great. Dirt off your shoulders is not the energy for CREAM. CREAM is a little more chill. It makes it sound disjointed. Come on Nick.

  • Remix? More Like a MashUp To Me....In Any Case, The Bridge Is Cool and All, But What They Don't Tell You Is That You Gonna Have To Invest Deep Thousands of Dollars More To Operate It Correctly With The Appropriate Equipment Just As You Can See In This Video. Smells Like False Advertising to Me.

  • Why does Serato keeps calling it remixing, when I don't see any remixing at all? All he's doing is mashing things ups.

  • Comment removed

  • @1:52 - 2:15 nice love the serato setup with the vinyl over the cd dj stuff

  • I remember when I had to use 3 turntables 2 tascam 4 track tape decks with pre recorded snippets and all kinds of shit in order to do this. Not to mention the mental and physical processing it took to perform it all. Like digging for records and using a Top Flight spiral notepad instead of a laptop lol

rewinding tape at the same time back spining a record LOL

    times have definitely changed

  • @ColdGripHandle Word!!!!! I know just what you mean!!!!

  • SICK!!!!!

  • DDDiddn't TThe SStutter GGo OUT FFFF FF FFFive Ye YE YEars ago??

  • Fanatastic equipment! All you need is some decent material to work with. I found the best way to watch this video was to turn the sound down on this offensive dross.

  • yo the remix might be on the fly and all... but it still kinda sucks

  • I wish I had this.......I hella take advantage of all it can do.

  • Woohoo Nick from Frontline. Love.

  • Serato, legend... make more!

  • Maybe Ableton isn't aware that "mash ups" are pretty much dead.

  • Great Video

  • Ok, I'm still confused. Does Serato sync to Ableton or Ableton to Serato?

  • @MrBlackwoodTV You can choose in the Serato software which way you want it to sync, you can sync to the left deck, right deck, and ableton. So if ableton was synced to the right deck then when you move the right platter back and forward the ableton clip will move back and forward too. If the right deck is synced to ableton then your accapella should stay in time if your markers are set in time. I haven't played with this aspect of the bridge since last year so forgive me if I have any errors.

  • fair play to nick and all, but he's using about 4000 euros worth of equipment to do a simple acapela mix... not impressed!

  • @jimmythehideous yeah it can be done in a simples 2 turntables setup.

  • @jimmythehideous I thought it was cool up until you said that !!! lol.

  • @jimmythehideous so? whats wrong with his gear? your comment makes no sense.

  • @jimmythehideous its a remix , not the fucking DMC

  • @jimmythehideous lol i could do this back when i used numark axis 9's

  • @jimmythehideous true but its just showing how helpful the equipment is

  • He is hot!

  • Great demo.. have had bridge for a while but never used that aspect of it. I will now for sure.

  • Very SICK!

  • Ok. I'm sold.

  • cool now can we get thebridge for itch.... less harsware will be needed on the table top

  • Simply SICK!!

  • Nice......

  • Nice!!!!!

  • Niice little set right there! But whats the instrumental at 1:14 ?

  • @djwreckdown Next episode

  • @djwreckdown it's actually The Edge by David McCullum/David Axlerod...it's the original sample of Next Episode by Dre or M.I.A by Missing Link (which was released years before Dre's version, produced by the Vic of beatnuts)

  • record labels changing orange to red?

  • the cue point at 3:13 definitely wasn't intended!

really cool stuff there though, and only a small insight into what the bridge is capable of

  • @smck99 truu that was totally unintended haha!
