SuperAllycat09 -- First, I'm a HUGE fan of David Cook's. But I don't understand why you think it would be hard for me (and others) to swallow that David now "owns" this song. Does it have to be either / or? I should be able to geek out about artists other than David, and don't feel the need to belittle Andy's talent just because David is my favorite. David can do something beautiful in his interpretation of a song and so can Andy, so why can't I enjoy both?

okay, my comment stem from Andy's fans making pointed statements like' it's okay for David to sing this song as long as he doesn't sing my favorite MWK song'. I just don't understand why some MWK songs are off limits for David to sing that's all.

First off, I love Skibb's studio TIB. Incredible. I first saw his and Tiemann's acoustic TIB and downloaded the studio version off Judging a Bullet months ago, and have played the song approximately 213,893,234 times since then. In other words, I have pretty much moved in, married, had kids, a dog and a mortgage with Andy Skibb's studio version. Not sayin' that I'm throwing that all away for Cook's live version, but I might risk everything for a one-nighter with this one. Just sayin.

David's version is beautiful but we should not compare a studio version (Andy's) with a live version because they are different animals really. One is of the moment the other is taped probably over and over to get it right. YMMV

I like David singing this song better than the original. I think his voice captures it better. Andy's is too light and not as intense. But it's a matter of opinion and we should respect everyone's opinion.
