these headsets are good if you get rechargeable batteries and won't play for straight hours or a lot, i prefer to stay wired with x11 with or without dss and i'm buying astro a40's soon :D

@sillonaz Yes. And don't buy the Amigo II USB thing, you can get a USB Soundcard on Amazon for $2-5 depending where you live including delivery. I use my TB's with it and it works awesome, you just plug in the pink 3.5mm (mic cord) into the mic port on the usb soundcard. If you want a link to the soundcard just inbox me and I'll be happy to show you, my nephew and I both use it and it works great.

I just got the x41s for Christmas and they are amazing. I also think that footsteps are loud and clear, and I have no problem hearing them. Keeping bass boost off also helps footsteps be heard. Music is phenominal and I don't agree much at all with this video. Also check out akaTRENT's video on the x41s.

If I don't use wireless for anything on my router and my router is one room away from mine ( usually have my door shut ) will I get any interference? I think I might get the Razer Chimaera though being that It's sexy, runs on a different frequency, rechargeable, and I really trust razer (I trust Turtle Beach too).

Not every single xbox comes with a component av cable. Some xbox 360 comes with the composite av cable which doesn't allow you to use the fiber optic cable or whatever it is called.

Here are some extras to help people decide on these:

-Very easy set up (plug a cord into the xbox then the usb for power)

-Eats up batteries (2 a day) may need rechargeable batteries

-When batteries start running out, there is a lot of popping sounds

-There is a chat volume function but, it is very hard to hear people sometimes with game sound going on.

-Some audio quality is diminished due to it being wireless

Unless you need the wireless function I would look at the a30/a40 or trittons

The small problems i've ever had with my x41 is the infrequent popping noise and RARELY a very intense rapid clicking popping which would completely eliminate the game sound which only happened when some made a call and microwaved something at the same time, also w/out a $10 cord you cant use it w/ a computer that doesn't have an optical port

As though there are many arguments between the x31 and x41 i personally find the x41 better. The problem is, I live in the UK and the price for these was £117.99 which in USD is $130. So, I advise if you're going to buy these get them from a UK retailer such as amazon or game, it'll save you the cost :)

And yeah, you CAN hear footsteps with this headset, like in mw2, black ops. It actually requires skill to hear footsteps, hear reload sounds from other weapons than yours. but i agree, they have a little to high price for what you get. Its like, they are not worth the totally price. maybe if they set it to like 175.
