All streets crossing this main road are blocked and most of them guarded by volunteers, members of Akureyri Carclub. Akureyri is btw the name of the city where this race is held, during they're annual "Carday's" festival for fans of motor's and motorsport's. This festival also includes a splendid carshow, drifting, burnout, rallyecross, besides this quarter mile challenge. Also, Akureyri's nightlife really comes to life during theese few days of fun.

His jacket got ripped into pieces and he gave it to the police along with his helmet. Oh and the front breaks got stuck that's why he fell off. He also said falling off of the bike so hard felt like being beaten really hard with many baseballbats and it burned his skin...

i think the chain snapped from the forse of acelerating that fast (and not maintaining it properly) and wrapped its self around the rear wheel, locking it sudenly, throwing him off, which as i found out for not doing that 5 min job is very painfull and exxpencive
