This is definitely the track that is on "We want Miles". No matter if the liner notes say Boston, the ear is right. And I'm so glad I found this video. It's a classic recording with Stern rocking like he should! Pure Greatness

I really enjoy listening to Miles Davis kick Wynton Marsalis' pompous, arrogant, ignorant ass six ways to Sunday. Even in death, Miles Davis continues to kick Wynton Marsalis' ass. Read it and weep, Marsalis, you lame, gutless, non-jazz playing excuse for a human being. You talked smack about Cool Papa Miles when he was alive but who's crying now, Marsalis, since Columbia kicked you to the curb. MILES ROCKS AND THE WORLD ROLLS ON!!!!! ROCK ON, MILES DAVIS!!!!!!!

We Want Miles was compiled from shows in Boston, NYC, & Tokyo. This is the same track that appears on that CD. Listen to Stern's solo - it's the same one.

Same tour, but the We Want Miles LP was recorded in Boston. This is from Tokyo.
Still, righteous good music!
For my money, Mike Stern plays the best electric guitar solo ever on this track. And he still had long hair back then :-)
