This isn't the first time SCV went matched grip. They won at least one trophy with matched grip in 79 I believe.

From what I've heard about this line, they had a rough start due to the new grip, but in the end they turned out one of the best just like allways

i just dont get how they marched comfortably with the snares so low... looks like they would get in the way.

@tmilla13300 from videos ive seen they look like they used tenor carrier j bars instead of the regular snare ones. which makes it a bit easier to march really low

@tmilla13300 With pearl carriers its really easy to set it low and away. I did it with my snareline in 06.

This is really good. The whole Matched snare thing shouldn't have kept them so low in the scoring as it did.

@Dragon150043 i dont understand why judges would take off points from a drumline's score just by the way they hold their sticks... it is just a different technique
